“Fabulous place run by fabulous people. Thank you Jo and Simon and all who work here”
“My local shop, always Friendly staff, plenty of choice. Great opening times too for when I forget things late in the day!”
“excellent selection of wines, knowledgeable staff of the different varieties available and good recommendations when you want to try something new”
“I have been using this shop for a long time, it is one of my favourite places, the staff always have a smile and it is what all shops should adopt. Good British values from people from Sri Lanka.”
“Called in whilst in the are on business, there was four of us in our group and we all rated the food highly. The portion sizes are great and very flavorful. The keema and cheese naan was one of the nicest I've had whilst travelling around. Owner was friendly and the meal was reasonably priced. Would be very happy to return when I'm next in the area”
“Absolutely amazing people. They made us a fresh pizza after we had taken longer than expected to come back for collection - at no extra cost - and also threw in a drink for us for waiting for a fresh one. I felt like I should be the one apologising but they were more than happy to help me out.”

“I have used the co=op for over 40 years. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They also have some great offers”
“I must admit, I only popped in to use the cash point, of which there's 3 and all working, and the toilet which was fairly clean for 7.00pm, it looked busy, plenty of working tills and staff in sight. The trolley parks were tidy and a large clean car park. I cant comment on much more.”
“Honestly a thiccer spar than I was expecting in the best way. Shoplifter gallery on the outside is a real highlight”
“Always lovely pizzas and never take long to have your food ready if you're collecting. Staff are always friendly too”
“first time going and honestly it was amazing, the food was great and the customer service was great, had a great laugh :)”
“Awesome. Great cozy place with good food. The staff are on a different level of awesome. This is how you do business right, attentive and careful, great cooking. Adding a Smash Burger on the menu would be an amazing addition.”
“Amazing. Jack and Lucy have made Dubberley Delicious private dining an experience not to be missed. Eight course fine dining menu tailored to our tastes, all prepared and cooked fresh in the kitchen next to your table. Nothing is rushed, we were there for about 3 hours, each course being explained with extra insight given into the preparation. Seasonal menu that prides itself on using local and British produce, even the Wagyu is from Welsh Wagyu cattle. Private dining isn't cheap, we paid a little over £135 each including drinks. Already checking our dairy to see when we can go again.”
“Great micro pub, friendly atmosphere. Lovely selection of beers. Would recommend visit.”
“Cliffords Cafe in Polesworth : Where Time is a Suggestion Seven out of Five Stars (The Scale Cannot Contain It) In an era dominated by artisanal sourdough and oat milk lattes served in reclaimed terracotta, Cliffords Cafe in Pol stands as a magnificent, defiant monument to the way things should be. This isn't just a café; it's a sensory immersion into a highly specific version of coastal Britain, circa 1993, and we are blessed to be its devotees. Stepping into Cliffords is like being wrapped in a blanket woven from the aroma of frying bacon, damp dog, and industrial-strength floor polish. The atmosphere is less "curated aesthetic" and more "everything we've owned since 1985, artfully placed." The décor is a stunning collision of plastic tablecloths (wiped clean with the dedication of a professional chef, yet retaining the ghosts of countless jam spills), mismatched mugs, and local notices thumbtacked over other, older local notices. The Architectural Marvel of the Toastie The menu here is a masterclass in clarity. There are no pretenders, no spiralized vegetables, and definitely no "deconstructed" anything. You are here for the classics, and Cliffords delivers them with the gravity of a papal decree. The Toastie, in particular, deserves its own monograph. It is not just toasted bread and cheese; it is a thermal insulation device, a pocket of molten dairy sealed into a crispy, golden rectangle. It demands a four-minute cool-down period before consumption, as the interior temperature is scientifically engineered to cauterize any latent dental issues. The chips are golden, plentiful, and retain a perfectly crisp exterior—a triumph of frying oil technology. Service & Philosophy The service at Cliffords operates on a beautiful, Zen-like principle: "It’ll be ready when it’s ready, and not a moment before." This is not slow service; this is forced meditation. It encourages mindfulness, prompting you to truly appreciate the simple things, like the sound of the kettle boiling, or the sight of the same local fisherman reading the same local paper he was reading yesterday. When your mug of tea arrives—a brew so robust it could probably strip wallpaper—you feel a profound sense of accomplishment. If you require chrome finishes, silent service, or a charging port at every seat, you misunderstand the assignment. Cliffords Cafe is the real deal: a beacon of greasy, cozy, unpretentious perfection. Go, order the largest portion of something fried, and allow yourself to be transported. You'll leave feeling full, warm, and profoundly grateful for the lack of irony.”
“I'm a regular customer, and the food is absolutely delicious! Always comes steaming hot, generous portions, and I can't even describe the taste! The flavours are beautiful and the meat just melts in your mouth. I will continue my custom absolutely!! See you soon!”
“Very friendly staff. Extremely clean and the food was outstanding. Would highly recommend. Fantastic staff who make you fell welcome!!”
“Great pub with an old school atmosphere, incredibly welcoming and friendly, as a tramping lorry driver away from home all week it's little gems like this that you find for an hour in the evening that keep you sane, thoroughly recommended”
“Excellent pub about 12 minutes walk from Tamworth Railway Station. Seven cask beers on handpump when I visited including two stouts. Lots of outdoor seating some of it covered. The lovely C16/part Tudor building is home to Tamworth Brewing Company and its tap. The cosy upstairs rooms have Tudor features and the historic courtyard beer terrace to the rear offers striking views of Tamworth Castle. The Tamworth Tap won the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) National Pub of the Year in both 2022 and 2023!”
“First time at The Old Bank House, came here for ciders as it showed up on the Realale finder App, they had 10 ciders on ! Really friendly welcome from the owners, it has lots of very nice rooms all decorated nicely with chandeliers and arm chairs. Highly recommended, will definitely com back again”
“Afternoon tea as a birthday treat all arranged by my son who lives in Australia. A perfect afternoon for my sister (who was in on the treat) and myself. Good choice of sandwiches, savouries, and cakes. Very pretty crockery, as much tea as we wanted. The service was excellent. We bought some of the cake home as there was so much. We have been here before and will certainly go again. As an added extra, my son arranged for a bouquet of flowers to be delivered during our tea.”
“1 day I experienced the delicious food from Miah takeaway & I’ve had 1 every week since. Words can’t describe how phenomenal their food is. I’ve eaten a lot of Indian meals & none are even close to the quality & taste that Miah provide. Not only is the food amazing but the staff are all fantastic. I genuinely can’t recommend them enough!x”
“Food is absolutely delicious everytime. Cooked beautifully and tastes amazing! Service is 10/10 and always so lovely, Thankyou!”
“Had a jacket potato with cheese and beans. Amazing value for money, really friendly and accommodating staff. My go to place for lunch when I'm in Tamworth.”
“Came here in April as a celebration meal and Paparazzi delivered. Their atmosphere, service and food was amazing. Really enjoyed my meal and the service from the staff was professional and friendly.”
“I doubted family run Traditional Italian Restaurants after experiencing so so quality food and samey options delivered by overly passionate staff. Portobello Restaurant has put my faith back in the Italian culinary experience. On entering I was met by grounded, accommodating staff that ensured I was happy with the choice of table. Staff were smiley, chatty and assisted joyfully with the menu options. I opted for some nibbles and their excellently priced 2 courses for £19.95. The atmosphere in Portobello Restaurant is relaxed, sociable and family oriented. The minimalist artistic interior beams with natural light. Dishes were superbly presented, quality was evidently high. The jelly babies and hand written “thank you” on the bill echoed the care they provide to their customers. A wonderful experience.”
