Visited on a Sunday at 5.15pm. It was very busy with every table full. Can see why this restaurant is so popular...the food is absolutely amazing. Lasagne, generous portion, was the best I've ever tasted. Service was great. Cannot wait to return.

Outstanding service… outstanding food… the peppercorn sauce with my steak was a star on its own.. a sirloin and my partner had a lasagne and I tell you it was a different lasagne from the average… 10 stars plus. Really genuinely friendly staff An absolutely must visit when in Tamworth xxx

Came in for a romantic valentines day meal and that's exactly what we got! The staff were fantastic at making sure everything was okay and making sure we had enough drinks. Food was absolutely lovely, I couldn't get enough! The sharing platters for starters and dessert were wonderful. Perfect portion sizes. The atmosphere was fantastic with the romantic music playing plus the little fake candles on the table were super cute. Will definitely be coming back again soon for a date night.

Pleased to see that it is almost full even on a weekday! Glad I arrived early as I was accommodated without a booking. 3 courses and a decently portioned side salad, very happy! Food clearly prepared with care and the staff are very warm and friendly. My linguine Malfitane was a bit saucy, asked for some bread to mop it all and it was not too much trouble. Finished off with a waffle with berries ice cream, which if it had been served with fresh berries rather than frozen I would have deemed the whole meal faultless. Still, it was all in all, great. Do visit!

Ate at this restaurant with my sister. We ordered a prawn starter which was ok and both had a sea food pasta main (mixed seafood tomato base and I had the lemon one with crayfish) The mains were really under seasoned and were definitely not restaurant quality. I'm very glad we ordered garlic bread because that was lovely. Looking around the restaurant the pizzas were popular and staff also knew some of the visitors which means return customers so there's a possibly we attended on a bad day, I dunno. The desserts were nice though.

I doubted family run Traditional Italian Restaurants after experiencing so so quality food and samey options delivered by overly passionate staff. Portobello Restaurant has put my faith back in the Italian culinary experience. On entering I was met by grounded, accommodating staff that ensured I was happy with the choice of table. Staff were smiley, chatty and assisted joyfully with the menu options. I opted for some nibbles and their excellently priced 2 courses for £19.95. The atmosphere in Portobello Restaurant is relaxed, sociable and family oriented. The minimalist artistic interior beams with natural light. Dishes were superbly presented, quality was evidently high. The jelly babies and hand written “thank you” on the bill echoed the care they provide to their customers. A wonderful experience.
