“Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday meal as we were staying in an AirBnb close by. Service was top tier, the lads were very attentive. We had a cocktail each which were both top quality, although I wish they sold lassi here. Food was beautiful, it felt a lot more authentic than your typical Indian restaurant. If you don't handle spice very well then maybe ask for recommendations as it's on the hotter side, masala chips were very spicy. Different dishes to choose from, the selection was great. Very much enjoyed it although quite pricey, came to nearly £90 for two. Would return if I was in the area”

“Called in here for a quick pint on Thursday evening. Good choice of beers at reasonable prices and had live music. A proper pub, cheese and onion cobs available !! We have to keep the independent pubs going by visiting them, use or lose.”

“Asda Driver here, have been delivering to these guys for years and they always take care of their drivers by offering them a hot drink which is greatly appreciated especially during the colder weathers. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely attentive, something you don’t find everywhere. A special mention goes to Daisy, our waitress, who was absolutely brilliant. She was handling multiple tables and customers with ease, like an octopus with eight arms, yet still managed to make us feel looked after. She even offered water for our dog, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel truly welcome. The food was excellent, and the coffee hit the spot perfectly. We couldn’t fault anything. The atmosphere was relaxed, cosy, and dog-friendly, everything you’d want from a local café. We’d come back here a thousand times. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Tamworth!”

“When the sun is out, there is little that beats drinking a cup of Bake180s coffee in the setting of the Courtyard at Middleton Hall. The staff are lovely, the food menu is extensive, prepared in the cute kitchen next door. Best of all, the coffee is prepared with care. Very tasty. Thanks Katlin!”

“Great local drinking pub.. lovely atmosphere, drinks at reasonable prices, very popular with locals and always busy every day of the week. Also great outdoor seating area outside to sit and have a drink. They also do 'snack foods' which include scotch eggs, cheese box and various cobs which are really nice and at very good prices. Dogs are welcome in the pub and they even provide doggy treats for free!”

“We have recently tried the Sunday carry-away from Christopher Tamworth, and they are an absolute delight! The food is worth every penny, and the taste was amazing. The gravy was so good that you could practically drink it straight from the pot. And I can’t forget to mention that their sticky toffee pudding is the best I’ve ever had. The quality and flavours exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend giving their Sunday dinners and puddings a try; you won’t be disappointed!”

Lovely spacious surroundings in a complex of garden centre, farm shop, art and crafts and restaurant with outside seating available in good weather Excellent food at reasonable prices. Friendly attentive service from all staff. My only slight criticism would be that the good and comprehensive wine list is a bit more costly than some. Looking forward to another visit.”

“Hidden gem in Tamworth, me and my wife popped in for a breakfast and a cuppa and we’re greet by a friendly smile, there wasn’t a long wait for the food and it came out piping hot, the quality of the sausages and bacon stand out and it was all cooked to perfection! How they serve a breakfast as this calibre for the price they charge I don’t know, well worth a visit!”

“Book directly and have breakfast included at a lower overall price. Free secure car parking right in the centre of town and you cannot go wrong. “Good local pub, cosy, good value. Very good restaurant above - El Toro. Steak based with a few other options. Definitely worth a drive as there are very few good restaurant options nearby. Large portions yet still good quality. Meat comes from the local butcher. Excellent wine. Not quite Michelin star but better than any other local restaurant we've been to.”

“Room was pristine, bumped into the housekeeper as I was checking in and she made sure I had everything I needed. The hotel is attached to a charming country style pub with amazing food and fantastic staff. The location is on a busy road but also a 5 minute bus from the town centre which was a beautiful place to spend the day and has lots of local amenities. I would recommend this hotel to a person travelling alone or as a couple for a peaceful retreat as the location has fantastic transport links all over the country.”
