First class pub with excellent beer and food priced really well. Friendly landlady and staff in a place with character. An excellent alternative as well if the Tamworth Tap is too busy!
Decided to try here for Sunday roast, not been inside for years, enjoy the beer garden in the Summer with live music. Rang to book, lady was so friendly. The roast beef was amazing, veg, cabbage, carrots all cooked lovely. Gravy was to die for. Not sure if they do puds as was so full. Cant wait to return. Dog friendly too with doggy treats. All staff so welcoming & friendly.
Nice pub, never been in before! Driving, so could only have alcohol free Gunness, but cheapest I've come across £3.20. Some charge the same as normal Gunness.. looks like you can eat in here also. Also well behaved dogs aloud..
Very reasonably priced from a cob at £2 to Steak and Ale pie at £8.50. Lovely beer in a beautiful tradition pub setting. Service was prompt and friendly with the food arriving quickly.

popped in for lunch. great value, pie/scampi and chips. fresh and cooked well. defo will be eating here again lunch times when were in town. updates. starting to really enjoy coming to this pub, warm cracking fire, friendly. great lunches at good prices.
Great little character pub with an excellent selection of ales and gins. Live music available some nights. Accommodating staff and dog friendly. Definitely a good option for a Friday night.
