First time this stupid manager refused taken my change when I trying to pay, he would taken only 3 pounds as he's own set shop policy. I know that lidel generally accepting change in coins, , also he was a very unfriendly man . Aloso he removed xhristmas products from the shelf to avoid low prices. I never had this problem before and I visited more that 100 different lidl stores during the year . Update, 5 miles towards Coventry I found 2 lidl store's that had still full shelfs wirh Christmas products, far cheaper then a few days ago

A busmans holiday ay shopping in another town, another place. Staff are friendly and polite. Clean floors & shelves. Super happy with the weekly shop being here. So really only 30 mins with walk on canal.

Truly appreciate to excellent service of this Ninian way shop. The cashier Luke is very professional and polite. The shop is clean and huge. Enjoying the shopping experience. Another Lidl at Tamworth Bolebridge Street is awful. Don’t get into there unless you want to be angry.

Huge aisles, well laid out and fully stocked. There's a bakery and a good range of products all round, lots of offers too with the middle of lidl having the best special buys.

The first impressions were great, big, well stocked, clean, and then I found my way to the freezers and was shocked by the lack of stock and the emptiness of them all. What a disaster. I understand that it's a new store, but what happened. I couldn't believe my eyes, so I took some pictures and it's as bad as I remember. They could at least have done some facing up as its called in the trade to make it look better. Shame.

Nice wide aisles, very big store, shelves in the main quite full, top shelf is very high, I can imagine people that are below average hight may struggle to reach it. We had no wait at the tills, 3 were open and staffed, the young lady was polite and pleasant. Disabled parking is nicely positioned.

Another Teutonic Supermarket arrival - and with a lot to learn... Visited the store a couple of days after opening - nothing remarkable in being basic and anonymous. In summary: PRO's: Easy to reach as a local store Good Parking Facilities including Electric Charging Points and Disabled Parking Bays Bakery providing Fresh products Wide aisles facilitating easy access Prices on par with ALDI and mainline Supermarket 'Discount Lines' 'Lidl Plus' Loyalty App offers savings for regular shoppers CONS: Poor P.O.S. Pricing Locations - shown above the products in most cases, but in several instances, below - this causes major confusion (note that ALDI have since abandoned this practice in line with British Consumer expectations), discourages purchases and is liable to attract the interest of Trading Standards Officials as result of consumer complaints. Staff Morale/Attitude: possibly the worst ever experienced in terms of sullen looks, a sense of unapproachability bordering om passively hostile, and general malaise belying an operation barely two weeks old. Whether this is a failing of training, or a general reflection of its German Owners' uncompromising stance is debatable. What is unquestionable is that you'd sooner pay the extra to get decent and friendly customer service in a more pleasant shopping environment. Tills: at least six of which it seems a struggle to staff more than two at a time: no presence of express checkouts so, for those in a hurry with a couple of items; either be prepared to lose ten minutes of valuable time queuing - or else scoot off down to the local Tesco Express at Dosthill: you'll get served more quickly and, armed with a Tesco Clubcard, will buy superior goods at equal prices - and still save time. Disabled / Elderly Customer concessions: woefully inadequate much beyond the basic legal obligations - a lack of seating in the packing area precludes those less able to stand any respite whilst their companions check out their shopping - ALDI had at least the forethought to provide a lower level within a similar layout which provides a much needed seat for the elderly or mobility challenged. VERDICT For a much-vaunted arrival on the scene, this is a poor substitute that dances upon the grave of its much superior forebear, The Co-op Superstore. Although following current retail trends, a trial 'Weekly Shop' left much to be desired in terms of product pricing, availability, appeal, and general ambience/customer service. For any financial savings made, these were more than negated by petrol costs necessary to source missing goods from established Supermarkets elsewhere. Would we reconsider as a one-stop shop? Very unlikely as, with relevant Loyalty Store Cards elsewhere, the savings simply don't stack up - and we can take advantage of a more comprehensive range of higher quality goods at similar prices within our existing Supermarket choices. I'm afraid that this store is relegated to being a 'Β£5 max-spend' contingency call hereafter...

I came to Lidl on the opening day later in the day and the security guard was nice the bakery was delicious the isles were spacious and was overall a great store to do your daily shopping. I also love how at the front door if you’ve bought a pretzel from the bakery the have free samples at the door
