I went into Asda Shirley today looking for a packet of onion sauce, I had tried other shops previously but could not get it. I asked a man that was stacking the shelves, he told me that a lady had also asked for this last week, buy they did not seem to stock it. I carried on with my shopping, then the same man that I asked came up to me with a box of onion sauce, he had checked the boxes on the top shelf and this box was behind another box! I praised him for his excellent customer service!, he told me his name was Channy, not many people go out of their way like this anymore, so I just wanted to praise him for this .

It's always the same, just all round poor. Shelves needing stocking, young staff barging past you, old Karens knocking around the self checkouts speaking unprofessionally, ot's a moderately depressing experience in general. However, against my better judgement I ordered a grocery delivery and all they had to do was get 7 pretty standard items correct. A plain cheesecake for guests was replaced with a frozen billionaire's cheesecake that a) I can't stand and b) has to defrost for at least 3 hours, so it's doubly useless to me. Who is in charge of keeping the place stocked and also deciding the replacements - you didn't have one fresh cheesecake in the building? and who thought it best to swap from the plainest one to the most sickly one that was least like the original order?! Make it make sense! None of them seem to care, so it figures... The staff on the cigarette counter are always nice, on a more positive note, but I am going to call it a day with Asda Shirley

Competitively priced store with a great selection of foods and generally other things such as clothes and electrical and household products. There's never any loose baked potatoes on a Thursdays so buyer beware. On frozen stuff there's never any frozen lamb chops so go Iceland instead. Good parking here and plenty of spaces. Only ever 2 tills which a person is in attendance. Not happy with this either especially with a large shop.It is very good good price wise and beats most of the rivals. To get extra discount get a rewards card which is a phone based and can save a bit of money and generates vouchers which are handy any time. Regarding the petrol Station which is opposite the main store.Good prices here but again it's not staffed. And it's a bit unreliable. My last 10 vists 4 times I wasn't able to draw fuel..Needs to be improved. A very good store but not perfect.

Rude staff- not helpful at all particularly the manager nathan. Doesn’t sound like he wants to be there and comes across quite dismissive in his tone. Store was a mess when i went in, purchased a few items but wish i hadn't - after scanning my items through the self checkout half of the items were incorrectly priced on shelves so ended up paying way more than anticipated. Never seen anything like it- i can see why people have stopped shopping at asda

I have always found very useful stuff here at considerably affordable prices. I have got electronics, bedding, groceries and even clothes which makes ur life easier to find all in one place. The store is huge and they have groceries for almost all the cuisines. I have always had a pleasant interaction with their staff, notably once when i was confused about buying some stuff and the lady at the self checkout till actually helped me with cancelling or void the orders. They have free 3 hour parking in the basement, with well spaced parking lots. Sign up to Asda rewards card to avail benefits and vouchers for your valuable purchases.

Never will I shop in Asda again. Used to be budget friendly shopping for the family, I dont know how they justify increasing prices of some product to over 70% when the inflation is 10%. Lost a loyal customer of many years. I will not recommend this greedy corporation to anyone

This is probably one of the worst stores in Birmingham/West Midlands. There's never enough staff on checkouts. They never have enough staff the self checkout staff are really rude and very aggressive. Yet if you report this to Asda they say they ll pass it on to management but actually nothing happens you go around in the same circle and the problem continues. I just do not care and you can complain and you can message them all you like and say I'm going to pass it on to management but they do not do anything there needs to be a real attitude change needs to be a change of management there needs to be a lot changed in this store but Asda corporation don't seem to be doing anything or don't seem to be going down to the store to find out what the problems are on solving it. In the many trips I have been down there there's been no management on the shop floor and I don't see any senior leadership either now when there used to be and should be proactive in sorting out the issue staff have become more ruder and there has been absolutely known change

This post is about a customer complaining about a member of staff at Asda Shirley. Natasha Shannon said the lady in question was rude and unhelpful.I was behind the lady in question and all the colleague asked was to pay for a carrier bag which is company policy and nothing else about payment for shopping. I have been shopping at Asda Shirley for years and find front end staff amazing especially when they are always short staffed and under immense pressure. Everyone has an off day but there’s no need to take it out on someone who is trying to help. I don’t think the customer is always right

Unprofessional staff, rude and unhelpful at the self service. Middle aged woman with a sparkly mask, blonde hair, working in the self checkout on Tuesday morning at around 08.30am. She was reluctant to help me when asking about gift vouchers, then reduced me to tears after accusing me of making off with £200 shopping without paying. Shouting across the area in front of other customers. I have never been so embarrassed. I explained that maybe if they paid attention to what their customers were doing rather than gossiping about someone on another shift they would be more aware of what was going on. Will never give this store my custom again. Have made a formal complaint about this incident but am yet to hear anything. Avoid at all costs.

Store is great generally but they barely have any eggs which means I have to go to two supermarkets to do my shopping. I eat eggs that often I may as well just do my shopping at Lidl instead. They never let me down with eggs.
