I visited One Stop Store today, 25/04/2025, at around 3:35 PM to buy some coffee. I paid with a £10 note, and the young man at the counter gave me change that included a coin covered in disgusting mould. When I politely asked him to replace the mouldy coin, he refused by saying, “I’ve closed the cabin, someone will take it” showing no concern for hygiene or basic customer service. I felt completely helpless and left the mouldy coin on the counter before walking out of the store. This is absolutely disgraceful and unacceptable behaviour. Handling and giving out dirty, mouldy money to customers is a serious health concern, and the refusal to address it made the situation even worse. I am extremely disappointed and expect this matter to be looked into immediately. No customer should be treated with such disregard
