We enjoyed a delicious 3 course birthday lunch at L'Atelier on Saturday 11th Feb - my first time at this still relatively new restaurant which opened in Wandsworth back in the summer - it's low key appearance from the outside belies it's cosy interior. It's superb and I highly recommend!! It's run by a wonderful husband & wife team - Philip doing front of house and Mona in the kitchen - the food is absolutely divine, a beautiful blend of freshly prepared seasonal Moroccan & Belgian dishes including a selection of mouthwatering starters to share among our group of 4, and the main dishes were also exceptional, with a perfectly accompanied wine selection - in addition we learned that Mona is a gifted patissiere and she brought out a beautiful birthday cake for our party. There's amazing artwork on all the walls - some incredible photographic art and Moroccan influenced items, as well as a series of brilliant abstract paintings from London based Irish artist Donal Ryan (available to purchase). We'll definitely be back again soon to try some more dishes - apologies that I stupidly forgot to take photos of the food dishes while we were eating so only the cake is shown - next time I'll take food photos!

This was one of the stand out meals from 8 years of living in London. A great concept and delivered perfectly. The food was astounding. Slow cooked meats, meze with homemade fresh sides - a really enjoyable menu. Service very welcoming and contributed to a lovely environment.

L'Atelier is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to in SW London! I can't believe I haven't visited earlier. My friend from Denmark came over and I wanted to take her somewhere special. We were a few mins late which was no trouble for owner Philip who greeted us with a warm smile. I wasn't drinking and he made us the most exquisite mocktails. We shared scallops and green lentils and a chicken tagine with couscous and since it was January, just poured over the dessert menu, vowing to return when we were keen to satisfy our sweet tooth. If there's one restaurant you try in the Balham, Wandsworth, Tooting area, try L'Atelier on Trinity Road - the vibe as soon as you step in is so chilled and Philip and Mona (who I later had the pleasure to learn is the Chef and Philip's wife) are the loveliest hosts. It's like we were transported to a little piece of Moroccan heaven for a couple of hours.

Great atmosphere and absolutely fantastic food - we had the roast lamb & roast duck and both were absolutely divine! You can tell the proprietor really cares about the whole dining experience. We will be back for sure!
