The team at this local store are brilliant. Even on a early Sunday morning they are so friendly and helpful.

Not much in this place .. runs out very quickly for essentials ie: bread milk etc But only place open on Sundays....staff are very ignorant either chatting to each other or on headsets while your waiting to be served and can be really rude when you ask them to stop and serve you ... need better staff who care what there doing

So sick of this store. For years it's staff have focused on 2 things. Ignoring customers and chatting on those silly headsets (whilst serving customers). Staff would rather focus on stacking shelves and ignore the queuing customers down the aisles rather than hop on the tills and clear the queues. What's worse is that the store manager is often on the shop floor and can see this happening but is completely oblivious to it all. Prioritising stock over sales and service is certainly not how I was trained in retail but times must have changed now I guess. Will avoid shopping here unless it's an emergency. Of course, it won't be a time constrained emergency because I'll be queuing for hours!!!

The young lady who is one of the shop managers does not wear any face mask and keeps walking around the shop , huffing and puffing out of breath. It is very unprofessional of her and irresponsible of her senior managers for not noticing or taking actions. I have raised a complaint.

This store has been an absolute god send for me during the UK's Covid-19 lockdown period. It is the only local store where I have actually felt safe to do my shopping. The staff have been amazing and it has been service with a smile throughout. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

The sheffield hospitals charity man who works at the shop from Newcastle is amazing. Really friendly and a great sense of humour which people warm too straight away. Always smiling and cheerful xx

Awful duty manager. Went in after a hard day work all I could here was an erlea 30's male shouting at a young girl. As I walked around all I could hear was him carrying on his vocal displeasure at the before mentioned. When I got to the till presented my goods for payment. No eye contact. Or acceptance of being at the till , paid and said aurevoir a .token of appreciation to be followed by said "sainora , auffedersain, or a simple good bye would have been good enough" . I was too tired to argue, but thank you for making my shopping experience spectacular. But if that was my daughter he was communicating on that sort of level I would have video evidence and . Sent it to head office. What an unprofessional team leader.

Unbelievable how rude, unhelpful & generally unpleasant some of the staff are in this Sainsbury's. I suspect there is very little staff training undertaken with Sainsbury's, unlike Tesco colleagues who are generally v pleasant & professional. These express stores are meant to a local & friendly proposition I visited this store today. On entering there were no baskets by the door, just a large stack by the till. The staff clearly couldn't be bothered to actually place these by the door & then had a major attitude when I finally tracked down a basket by the tills. The so called manager, Lou, (lord help Sainsbury's if this is the standard of their leadership team) then proceeded to laugh in my face with a custome, joined in by a little girl who was doing some hours after school, working on the till next to hers. I questioned her apparent attempt to humiliate me & asked to speak to the manager to which she responded "I am the manager" followed by "that's my name, do what you want with it" when I asked her name. I can honestly say that I will never spend another £1 in a sainsbury store again & I am a 50 yr old former regular customer. Stick to Tesco, M&S & Waitrose is my new mantra. Awful experience & truly awful staff. Just remember girls, in retail, it's the customers £££'s that give you jobs & a livelihood. There's a lot of choice out there & you're not doing the customer a favour when they try & shop in your store!!
