    DANGER TO SHOPPERS - AVOID! This shop has been getting more and more unfriendly since the instalation of barriers. Staff seem to be getting driven crazy with all the alarms going off. Today I had a member of staff shouting at me as I walked away, had I got a receipt and I said yes, did he want to see it and he said it didn't matter. Then a 2nd male on a till was looking at me aggressively and pumping up his upper body as I walked towards him and shouted something and when I said pardon, he then also said did I have a receipt and when I asked if he wanted to see it and he said yes, I approached him and he leapt out of his chair and lunged at me. He was pumping his arms and chest at me and I had to ask him to stop being aggressive and he didn't even seem to look at the receipt when I held it up for him but was saying believe me, this isn't aggressive in a menacing tone. I suspect the male is either taking steroids to work out or has serious anger issues. I genuinly dont feel any shopper is safe while this individual is working in store. Anyone reading this who is concerned about a partners behaviour, can contact the Police to make a request under Claire's Law to see if their partner could present a risk to them.

    The store itself is great; always had a good selection of stuff and the staff are usually lovely. However a guy who works there was really rude and dismissive towards me when I was asking about a product; stormed off before I’d finished talking and was adamant the product was on the shelf. “Well it is there because I was literally just there 2 minutes ago.” I followed him round and he was pointing to the wrong products as a result of not bothering to listen or wait for me. I spoke to a manager who was lovely and said he would speak to him and was very apologetic about the staff member. Other than his poor attitude towards customers; which apparently has happened plenty of times before; which another staff member told me, the store is generally good.

    Hit and miss of friendless of staff (I believe that when you are serving a customer you shouldn’t be having a full blown conversation with another member of staff at the next till about your week) Availability of certain fruit and veg later in the day as well the availability of certain products isn’t always great. As far as prices are concerned, there are no issues here. Great bakery section too with fresh breads and baked sweet and savoury items.

    I've waited a while to write this review, to ensure the short comings weren't just a one off or pandemic related. My main issue with this shop is the lack of availability / quality of their fresh produce. Countless times I've visited, different times of day, days of the week and the veg shelves are basically empty. Anything I have bought has rotted within days. The meat selection is always good and well stocked, but I like most are trying to reduce meat consumption and increase veg intake! Latest visit, several freezers empty / broken and 50% of the frozen stock was desert related. It's time unfortunately for me to find another shop.

    Reasonable prices you can. Very busy especially the tills. They should open up other tills and people don't have to queue. Home bargains if it's more than 3 people in queue straight away they open up another till. Lidl and Aldi should do the same

    Terrible service which is a shame because its always been very good in the past. No greeting or acknowledgement for a start. Young girl bombarded me with items to the point I couldn't fit a bag on the loafing shelf to fill it. She talked continuously with the colleague behind her, another young girl about their friends and nights out. I pushed some of the items back up towards hers so I could make some space which instantly alerted her I was getting bombarded. No, sorry can I help or slow down a little, just an eye roll and turn to her friend to mock me and then continue with her conversation. Once I had caught up I had to ask if we were good to carry on. Continuing her conversation I got no £86 please just the amount on the card screen to inform me. No pleases or thank you and no goodbye have a nice day. Needs training in basic customer service. Shopping at Xmas time is stressful enough.

    Clean new store, nice set up, love the bakery. Staff always in a hurry and quick to dismiss so not very helpful
