So I popped into The Coffee Tree in Camden kinda by accident. I wasn’t even planning to get a coffee, I was just wandering around, half lost, half just bored, and the place looked chill enough, so I was like “whatever, I’ll just grab something.” Ended up getting a coffee that honestly surprised me in a good way. Not some overhyped artisan nonsense, just a proper coffee that actually tastes like… coffee. Warm, smooth, no weird aftertaste. Didn’t make me feel like my heart was gonna fly out of my chest either, which is always a win. The vibe inside was very “Camden people doing Camden things”—a mix of locals, a couple tourists trying to figure out where they were, someone typing like they were writing the next Harry Potter. Kinda entertaining to sit and people-watch for a bit. The place isn’t trying to be fancy or aesthetic or whatever, it’s just comfy in a scruffy-but-nice way. The staff were cool too—quick, not forcing conversation, just got the drink sorted and that was that. Honestly sometimes that’s all you want. No big story, just a warm drink and a minute to chill before heading back into the chaos outside. Would I go back? Yeah, probably. It’s the kind of spot you don’t plan for but end up liking anyway.

A cozy neighbourhood cafe with a spacious seating area. They have regular items, sweet and savoury quick bites, rolls and salads, various teas and coffee alternatives. There was only one staff member on a busy/rainy Saturday afternoon. The waiting time in the line was long but the young lady was serving breathlessly. The blended herbal tea took away all my sore muscle pain. I’ll give it another go if I am around. Clean and well-looked after WCs earned another point.

It's a lovely place and perfect for reading or just doing a bit of work. In the evening, the staff gets very loud and start speaking and laughing very loudly, which takes away the peaceful atmosphere. They are just standing and chatting very loudly for the whole cafe to hear. Its VERY disturbing and I will not return in the evening.

I had a really lovely experience at The Coffee Tree in Camden. The barista was patient, friendly, and welcoming – the kind of service that instantly makes you feel at ease. I was more than happy to leave a tip, especially knowing it goes directly to her. The café is ideally located right on the high street, making it a perfect stop whether you’re shopping, meeting friends, or just taking a break. The selection of coffees is excellent, and the cakes are fresh and delicious (the lemon poppyseed slice I had was perfect alongside my latte). Inside, there are two tiers of seating, so there’s plenty of space whether you’re after a quick coffee or want to settle in with a laptop or a book. Amenities like clean toilets are a big plus too, adding to the comfort and convenience. All in all, a warm and welcoming café in a great spot – I’ll definitely be back.

A warm, simple, and authentic spot. The atmosphere is calm — a perfect escape from the chaos of Camden on a saturday. The girl behind the counter was super friendly and welcoming. I had a flat white that was perfectly made, and the brownie was the highlight: crispy on the outside with that thin, well-baked crust, and soft and moist on the inside, just the way a good brownie should be. Not too sweet, but definitely leaves you wanting another bite. Overall, a great experience. A hidden gem right across from the hostel.

Quite possibly had one of the worst frappuccinos I've ever had in my life. The barista was totally clueless on how to make it. She kept checking with her manager for a second opinion to which the manager just shrugged her shoulders and told the barista to serve this horrendous drink. What a way to make a customer feel valued, no regards to quality whatsoever. I mean look at it, I was served a slushy, the drink was not blended correctly. A word of advice to The Coffee Tree, if you have no idea how to create an item then you shouldn't have it on your menu. That is a better solution then serving customers subpar products. Clearly it's all about profits and the manager does not care about delivery a quality product and service to customers. On the plus side the actual cafe interior and decor was nice, that's about it. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but this experience was not pleasant. I'll stick to Costa who serve decent frappuccinos.

Great tasting coffee at this coffee shop in Camden. Pastries also very good although a bit pricey. Friendly staff and quite spacious with lots of seating.
