My hot drink was ready and waiting for me to collect after ordering on the app. The staff member with purple hair was very helpful and kind to my friends dog, offering her a little puppuccino which she loved. Felt very welcome

Good coffee, food really nice, can’t really go wrong here. Music brings a chilled out vibe on an early morning before my shift starts. Very impressed.
I love cafe nero always have done and I have never had an issue with staff before today the 20th September 25. I always engage in a conversation and ask how the server is because I just think its respectful and kind, I asked for the pecan latte with oat milk and she stared at me and tutted, I said oh sorry did I throw you by saying it too fast, and she said no its new I don't know where it is. I said oh okay and realised perhaps she wasn't very happy. She then forgot what milk I asked for and I said oh I did ask for oat, but what others do you have? She turned round and was so rude and said 'you should have told me that before hand' so I responded and said I had nothing to 'tell' you, I placed my order and you forgot the milk so I just asked a question, don't speak to people like that there is no need She carried on tutted and sighing until I received my drink. Genuinley I have no idea what her issue was or why she was speaking to customers in this way. It was incredibly busy and I imagine she was overworked but there just isnt an excuse for speaking to people like that, other customers noticed too.

Awful chain that hasn’t paid tax in the UK for decades (google it!) … we are in the middle of a cost of living crises and every penny that is sent to shell companies overseas is a leakage to the UK economy and makes us all poorer - spend your money with locally owned, tax paying companies instead!
Place is always dirty looking. Short staffed. Takes ages to get served. Noisy, they make so much noise clearing dishes and putting out clean cups. Is not a relaxing atmosphere.
Great coffee, pleasant staff and fairly relaxing atmosphere with some chill out jazz playing quietly in the background. Let down by always being short staffed, meaning that despite the staff working very hard there is often a queue to get served, there is sometimes a shortage of clean cups and it's up to the customers to clear the tables of the last customer's dirty cups clean the tables. Also too small for the number of tables they try squeeze into the cafe.
Love it. Enjoyable atmosphere, great coffee - made to a brilliant standard and delicious snacks and bites to eat. The staff are very friendly and will take good care of you should they become aware of any issues you are facing or especially if you are or become one of their regular customers. Usually very clean inside and with comfortable, sensibly spaced seating -even before the pandemic this is one of the best coffee shops in Caterham provided you don't wish to sit outside because outdoor seating isn't an option.
