Not trustworthy. I booked an appointment over the phone in advance, but when I arrived, the salon was closed. When I called, they denied that an appointment had ever been made and claimed I hadn’t paid a deposit — even though I was never asked to pay one in the first place. Very disappointing and unprofessional experience.

I had such a wonderful experience at Nancy Hair & Beauty . From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Angel, who did an absolutely amazing job with my hair — she’s so talented and attentive to detail. Nancy made me feel right at home, kindly offering me a cup of coffee and a snack, which was beautifully served by Mandy. Those small, thoughtful touches made the visit feel truly special and relaxing. The salon itself is elegant, spotless, and has such a calm, inviting atmosphere. Everyone there is professional, friendly, and genuinely cares about their clients’ comfort and satisfaction. I left feeling pampered, refreshed, and so happy with my hair. I highly recommend Nancy Hair & Beauty to anyone looking for exceptional service and a truly delightful experience.

I have been taking my son to Nancy’s Hair & Beauty salon for over a year now for cornrows, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Nancy is incredibly patient and truly professional. She dedicates her time to ensure each cornrow is done to perfection, and the results are always fantastic. I highly recommend her to any parents seeking a skilled hairdresser for their children's hair. Five stars all around! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Deserves more than 5 stars, the whole process even for someone who's never been to a hairdresser was relaxing and stress free. I enjoyed each step of the braiding process and time went on by so quickly that my hair was already looking perfect and natural after a nice friendly conversation. Not to mention within one day I was able to get my hair type and colour extension! I totally hidden gem of Kingston. Very friendly, would recommend to anyone!

And along came Nancy...not quite true as she was already there and am I thankful for that! Nancy is a talented, professional hairdresser, who gave me a beautiful cut and colour. Importantly she listened to what I needed and what I didn't want, then contributed her own expertise to provide me with a great hair style and hair in good condition. I've already arranged to return. See you again soon and big thanks Nancy.

Service: short afro hair bleaching and dyeing, from black to teal. tl;dr: * Great service. * Does hair dyeing for men even though it's not on the leaflet. * Can do everything (3-layer bleaching + dyeing) on the same day but I recommend doing the bleaching sessions on separate days. * Permanent dye has been lasting for over a month now (teal) with minimal colour fade out. * I went from virgin afro to teal, but be careful of what colour you choose as the lighting can affect what colour it actually appears as. Mine appears green most of the time. * Shop can get a bit busy (I went on a Saturday), so if you like quietness perhaps ask if there are quiet days. long review: I went here last month (Oct 2021) to get my hair dyed. Even though the leaflet Nancy gives out doesn't list hair colouring for men, she does do it. I waited a month before writing a review to see how well the dyeing holds up and how it'd been done, and it's been done excellently. I have type4-b/c short black hair (roughly 8cm long) and wanted to dye it teal, something like #03827B (google the code to see the colour) but it almost always ends up showing up as green (like this #038246). So if you're going for a dye (especially first time), you might want to consider seeing how the colour looks under different lighting conditions. Also perhaps consider leaning towards the tint of colour you want in a mix of two, to avoid having it appear as the other extreme (if you're having a mixed colour like teal.) The process took about 3.5 hours (went in at 14 and done at 17:25). Three applications of bleach were done, with 20-40 minutes for each application for the bleach to "activate," and then the dye. The first bleach application was not stinging at all (I left my hair unwashed for 3 days prior, to have some scalp protection), second application was stinging a bit, and third one was quite annoying and couldn't wait to have it washed. So if you'd rather have a completely pain free experience, I suggest leaving a few days in between bleaching sessions. Results however were great. I have been washing my hair once a week using colour-safe shampoo, and rinsing with a colour-safe conditioner every other day, and there's minimal colour change. Dye washes out in the shower the most during the first couple of washes, after that there's marginal colour bleed. Would probably go again if I need topping up or a colour change.
