I had gels done by Jyuti (apologies if I spelled your name wrong!) and I am obsessed!! I hadn't had my nails done for so so long and she did them so well. She was efficient and precise and my nails look so good.

Almost 2 weeks ago, I had a booked appointment via Treatwell for a wax service. Upon arriving at the salon I was greeted by Silvia, the first thing I was asked was how much I had paid via the app. Upon advising I had paid £55 I was simply told that that was the incorrect price for the service I wanted, and also she complained that the app takes a substantial percentage off of that cost. She asked if I could cancel the appointment and pay directly at the salon so they would get the full amount. This wasn't a problem per se; however, due to the app policies, as we were within 1h from the appointment time, the booking was automatically nonrefundable. When explaining this to Silvia, to try and find a solution (i.e. if she could guarantee the refund from the app would be approved) she then informs me that the person who was meant to do my wax wasn't actually available as it was her birthday and she wasn't at work - complaining that the app didn't allow them to change the appointments. At this point, she confirmed the appointment wasn't going to go ahead so I had to cancel it anyways. I asked that she confirm the refund via the app, as it would need their approval. It has now been almost 2 weeks and I have yet to receive my refund - all I'm told when I call to follow up is that they will speak with the owner, but nothing ever gets done. I am still awaiting for my full refund and I had to find another last minute appointment somewhere else due to their cancellation. This has been beyond frustrating.

Got a pedicure from Sylvia. While she was very nice, it was one of the most unprofessional pedicures I've ever had. She spent probably 85% of the pedicure cutting away at my cuticles over and over - I had to tell her to stop on one toe as it was getting very sore - seems like she was trying to be thorough but didn't quite understand when to stop. (see photo of my sore red cuticles) She also tried using an electric sanding tool on my foot which burned through my toe at one point making me jump and then I had to stop her from going back and doing the same spot again! The pampering aspect one expects from a pedicure was non-existent - she did a very brief sugar scrub on each leg which she did on dry skin (unpleasant), and at the end she rubbed a bit of lotion on. The gel polish kept getting a bit on my toes so she had to go over and over the edges with a pointy stick that had some cotton and remover on it, making my already hacked cuticles feel even more sore. Two stars instead of one since the price was quite low for the area and I feel somewhat responsible for not stopping her sooner on my cuticles. But really, Sylvia should not be giving pedicures.

I look at their price board outside which reads mani& pedi shellac£55, so I went in to have exactly that. The girl that did my pedicure seemed to not know what she was doing and took the shellac off when I complained and repainted them. After the owner completed my manicure they tried to charge me £65, but I insisted I would only pay what was stated on the board. I had had nothing else. On arrival home I took my shoes off to find the shellac peeling. I called and the girl was being very argumentative and I said I did not want her to do my nails, but the owner. Very disappointed In answer to the response given. A bad pedicure and shellac is not a personal view. It’s a failure on Anubis to train their staff properly in the art of shellac. When you pay for a service you don’t expect to go home and 20 minutes later, to take off your shoes and find the shellac peeling off your big toe. The photo speaks for itself. Enlarge it and you be the judge.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing experience at Nubis Nail Clinic. Jodi was absolutely fantastic—she was professional, friendly, and incredibly skilled. She took her time to make sure my nails were perfect, and the attention to detail was outstanding. The salon itself was clean, relaxing, and had a great atmosphere. I left feeling so happy with my nails, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Jodi and the entire team!

Great service. Don’t think there is any communication issue. All perfectly understood and really best mani and pedi in the area.

The Lady in the parlour (who provides the service) does not understand english properly it's a bit difficult to communicate but she is perfect at her job. If you make her understand what you want she will do her best.

It was a nice experience. The pedicure was good but could have done a foot massage a little longer. It was literally not even a min long. Waxing was done by an old lady, which was scary at first but she did the job well. So full points for her. Did not like that we couldn't properly communicate with all in store due to some language barriers. But overall it was a not bad experience. May go again!
