   Always in hirebase at Bolton for tools and equipment, two lads on the hire desk chris and james are really helpful everytime we visit, fantastic customer service even showed us how to operate a carpet cleaner we hired as we had no idea as never used one before.    Always the best prices with helpful knowledgeable staff. Good range of basic fixings, tools and building supplies. Very good range of timber (my main purchases for woodworking) at cheap prices. They sell pretty much everything for building work as well but as far as I could tell might struggle to get really specialist tools. Give them a call first or check online to save time.

   One of the worst companies for customer service in Bolton. Their refusal to allow me to return an unused item, yet being vague as to the reason why, only goes to show their ineptitude. Whilst legally they do not have to offer a refund as the goods were not faulty, other major companies do, so I would have thought it would be good practice for this company too. Obviously not. So why have a returns policy? This instance is on top of smaller customer service issues over time and I only went there as a last resort but this is the last time. So I'll ensure that I pass the word around the trade and beyond. Incidentally, I telephoned and emailed the head office but to date I've yet to receive an acknowledgement let alone a reply.
