Very very poor ! I had a full thickness tear to 3 of the 4 ligaments in my knee and the surgeon said would be fine go away and come back in 3 months ! Refused to show me the mei report let alone run me through it. And kept saying things like it not like you are a footballer and we do lots of these on younger people less on people in there 30s and hardly any at your age ! I suppose I am supposed to be lame then ! Got a second opinion at Doncaster and had a knee reconstruction as it was only attached by one ligament! Appalling hospital !

A&E department incompetent and negligent. Attended A&E to be given a treatment in the waiting room before being told to leave with no aftercare or instructions. Discharged with a cannula still in my arm… Attended Rotherham A&E following discharge from Worksop and admitted to a ward for a week for treatment. Immediately taken from A&E to a bed - they were so apologetic over the negligence of received at Bassetlaw

I was attacked by a huge rottweiler while walking my dog and was brought in by ambulance with what I thought was a dislocated knee but I now know it's badly fractured. The ambulance workers were incredible but obviously they can't stay with me the whole time so I was wheeled into the a&e waiting room in a rather precarious and heavy leg brace which I had to hold up myself because nobody would help me adjust it and if it slipped my knee would roll out of place. I was left in the middle of the waiting room with no pain relief, no dignity as they had to cut off my leggings and all my self harm scars were visible and screaming in agony and having a panic attack. They told me I had to wait for x-ray before I could get pain relief so I waited 4 hours, once I finally got to x-ray they told me I needed pain relief before they could get me on the table so they took me back to the waiting room. Another hour later and someone finally came with some oromorph which barely touched it. While we were waiting my mum who was with me because of my neurodivergence started habing a diabetic hypo. Finally an angel of a nurse helped and brought me into one of the free private rooms with a bed and supported my leg and got my mums sugars under control. My mum told the doctors that something was definitely wrong and she knew i was in serious pain. All of a sudden I was wheeled out of the room and a team of nurses began attempting to get me on the bed. I was given gas and air finally but whenever they tried to lift me they would lift by my calf instead of my thigh, meaning my knee would roll out of place, this caused me to scream the most guttural scream I've ever done in my life, I simply couldn't help it. I've had acute pancreatitis so I know pain and that was the most extreme white hot searing pain I've ever felt. They then had the audacity to tell me to stop screaming so I didn't upset the other patients. Once I was finally x-rayed they told me that it was fine and it was probably just ligament damage, put it in a brace, gave me some crutches which I really struggled to use and just let us go, no help or anything. My mum has fibromyalgia and slipped discs in her back and neck plus a lot of other conditions and she is the only one who can help me. I also have fibromyalgia and hadn't eaten for over 24 hour so holding myself up and keeping balance was really difficult but we got there eventually. I'm completely sofa-bound and even using the toilet is a struggle, my mum is the only one who can help me out. Finally 4 days later a doctor who knows their stuff took a look at the x-ray and found I had a severe fracture and I'm probably going to need surgery. Overall I found several of the nurses to be very dismissive and sometimes ignorant, I understand it's a stressful job but it's also your job to help the patients and a bit of compassion can go a long way. The staff are very disorganised and nobody really seems to know what they're doing, like how do you miss such a bad fracture? The waiting times were insane too, we were in there for about 7 hours. I've seen other people with similar stories. I understand there's a lot of stress on the NHS right now but some of this can't be explained by anything but ignorance or incompetence.

Waited 6 hours with my son just to see a doctor, my son was in pain for almost a day now and didn't have the opportunity or chance to see a doctor, and we have to leave the hospital with just our kids starving, and another parent 6 hours just for the nurses to give his prescription as they completely forgot about him chatting away in a room when he had to remind them of it to hand it him over in 2 minutes. We had no more patience as our daughter was crying starving and my son left in pain with no medication or anything, never stepping foot in that hospital again, taxpayers money down the drain

Today I literally went to an emergency with my partner a moment ago, because the GP referred him there. We went, the tests were done and one nurse insisted that I should leave because I am not a patient. a lot of people sat next to it, the spouses brothers and sisters, a colleague from work with a colleague. Family with elderly patients. And I cannot stay with my closest person because I am an LGBT person and also a Pole. I will not leave it like this, the nurse will apologize for it yet, I have sent a complaint with all the data and is contacting my lawyer, I will not be treated like this, the nurse will answer severe punishment for her behavior. emergency department Bassetlaw hospital
