I attended an appointment yesterday for a DEXA Scan and I was in a bit of an emotional state because my mum had just passed away a couple of days before .The radiographers ,I think their names were Carol and Glenda were really kind to me and cheered me up no end. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to them when all I wanted to do was burst into tears. Could you please thank Carol & Glenda for me.

Horrible place. Unfriendly staff and person carrying out my scan seemed to want to inflict pain without warning. I was supposed to be having my kidneys checked out, not kicked into the middle of next week. Probably the worse medical appointment I have ever attended, and I hope I never have to go there again

Attended the Osteoporosis clinic for a DEXA scan and would like to thank Glenda and Carol who performed this scan. They were professional, reassuring and explained the procedure. Would highly recommend this department. 5 stars they deserve more!

I came here for an urgent blood test. I find the blood tests difficult sometimes but Mandy reassured me and did it so quickly and easily. She was very patient and understanding. We asked for directions to where we needed to be, we somehow didn't see the huge signposts for it. Everyone was lovely. It's incredibly clean and tidy, easy to find and not very busy. Parking was free as it was under half an hour. We only spent 15 minutes in total here, very quick and a positive experience.

Mansfield community hospital Oakham ward are criminals. We see my mother in law weekly we was a day later than normal and turned up to her usual room to notice it was a different lady in there. I just thought oh no problem she must have moved beds. Oh no it was way more serious than that. The nurse looked at me confused and asked who are you looking for? Well my mol (gives name) oh she said. She’s moved hospital 8 days ago !!! She had a stroke !!! So to cut a long story short my mother in law had a stroke 8 days previous and not one person from that ward or hospital let her next of kin (only us) know. Absolutely disgusting. She could have died and we wouldn’t have known. They have numbers to ring us but no one did. I have also been there on many occasions to hear how staff talk to ladies and gents on this ward. So disrespectful. Place need a whole load of new staff that actually CARE

My 82 year old Grandma was placed here to recover from an operation for a new hip following a fall in her garden. She has had several falls over the past 12 months and is very unsteady on her feet. She also has regular infections which have led to sepsis 8 times. Whilst at this hospital she has been very unwell, has not received physio as promised and is now being released home. My mum has been on the phone daily to try and ensure she is placed in a care home for a small amount of time to allow her to recover and hopefully regain some of her mobility to allow her to go back home. She has been lied to that she had a place at a local care home, only for that to be cancelled and told they're sending her home with 2 carers a day. That is 23 hours a day she will be left alone, with the nearest family member a 40 minute drive away. She is unable to dress herself, cook for herself, take herself to the bathroom or complete any normal day to day tasks. The duty of care provided has been horrific, this is an accident waiting to happen. She has worked her entire life, paid into the system and all the hospital are interested in is getting rid of her to free space for another patient to come in. The lack of understanding and remorse has been horrific, and when an accident does happen and she is seriously injured or worse no one will be there to take liability. It may be nothing to the healthcare workers but she is everything to us - the NHS need to sort their priorities out and improve care for those who have contributed for their entire existence. Disgusting.

Took my 90 year old mum for her covid jab last Monday Didn’t realise that the car park was not in use for the vaccination clinic Mum needs a wheelchair. The guy monitoring the car park said I could park, but I couldn’t get my car in the available spaces and get mum out. He went over and beyond to help me out…. Let me get mum in her wheelchair and took her a inside whilst I waited for a space. You are a credit to the NHS. You will know who you are if you read this. I was getting in a right flap, so once again a big THANK YOU xxx
