Staff are great, I think this place will be successful as news of it spreads and they keep putting great bands on!

##AVIOD AVOID AVOID## I have given this "hotel" 1/5 stars mainly because I am unable to it 0/5. I booked 2 nights due to working in the area. Upon arrival I was unable to enter the building and had to message to find out where to park and enter. Upon entering my room it appeared very basic but ok considering I only needed a bed for the night. In the middle of the night I awoke as the mattress was slipping through the bed frame. When I lifted the mattress the slats on the bed were broken and on the floor. There was mould all around the windows and the TV didn't work. I left early in the morning as I was unable to sleep on the broken bed. With the intention of requesting a refund for the second night, I was unable to make contact with the staff to request this until after 6pm. At this point I was informed that I could only request a refund before 6pm. The guy was rude, unhelpful and didn't seem concerned with my issues. He was focusing on the fact that I had not contacted prior to 6pm despite me explaining that I had been trying. I had booked through booking.com and raised a complaint through them and was advised that the owner was not willing to offer a refund and advised to leave a review. Upon attempting to leave a review, the owner had removed my ability to leave a review. All in all, it was so bad I had to book to stay at a travel lodge. Photos attached.
I heard it was a noisy place to stay but they weren't kidding, between the music and the taxi rank outside,I didn't get to sleep before 3am. Staying In Leeds city centre this year. Pontefract is a great little town tho, well worth a visit.
No I would have left it blank if I could proceed. So 1 star is a compliment to say I never stayed there. It's a short and honest review. Maybe you should inform people before hand that if you turn up early you're likely to be closed. And the place will look like it's never been lived in. Never come across a place like it. On a Friday evening as well. £4 dearer was a bargain for what I got. Bet you don't get many outsiders. League Of Gentlemen.
Hotel room was clean but extremely dated, shared bathroom with an antique shower and no WiFi in the room if you're looking for somewhere to just sleep you'll be ok here but anything else its a bit lacking ... Hosts were nice enough though
It was actually very good. I couldn't get the shower to work but the landlord did. My fault for missing one simple and very big switch. No wonder I drank so much coffee to wake up with! Apologies to the landlord for being an idiot. Anyway, it was lively but not as intrusive as suggested. I turned in at 11pm but was asleep by midnight even though the venue had a DJ until 2.
Went for a pre-prom event where there were drinks and food available, plenty of drinks to choose from and is a very nice place. Also have lovely owners. Will be considering this place for the next time I have an event
