   Had a great haircut from Anita. She was very kind, and made me feel at ease. It's hard to find somewhere that is good for men with longer hair, but I would highly recommend Camerini. I could tell that Anita was going to a good job straight away and I wasn't disappointed. Very thorough and good communication with me about what I wanted from the cut. Will be back!

   The worst haircut I’ve ever had. Given I was in the area and wanted a haircut I searched for a place that offers men’s haircuts, and Camerini has a whole section for men’s hair on their website including clippers blend, so I called and booked. When I arrived, I spoke with the hairdresser (who I believe was Manjola) and explained I wanted a fade from 0.5, some length off, and the hair thinned out. She said that was fine but I wasn’t sensing at the time that she seemed confident. From the moment she got to work, it was quite clear that she does not do barbering. She was struggling even to change settings on the clippers, which also were evidently not appropriate equipment for a fade. She was then clearly struggling to blend the fade, and gave up using clippers and switched to scissor-over-comb. Even when she got to cutting the centre of the hair with scissors the cut was uneven and weight was removed from the side with thinning scissors and left heavy in the centre. Approx 45 minutes after starting the haircut, she showed me the end result in the mirror and I was absolutely horrified as the fade was so appalling and completely unblended and uneven. I told her how I felt about the haircut and she said she could blend it further, but given she had deemed this haircut was acceptable, I had zero confidence in her ability to deliver the appropriate haircut. I just wanted to get out of the chair and out of the shop. I explained to her colleagues and showed them my hair and another lady offered to correct it for me, but by this point I just wanted to go and get it fixed at an actual barber’s. Her colleagues could clearly see how bad the haircut was, but throughout she just kept pulling a face as if she couldn’t understand what the problem was and tried to express that she didn’t understand my problem with it. See pictures attached. I agreed with her colleagues that I would be leaving the shop to have it fixed by a barber, and I was not charged for the service. The salon may well be great for women’s hair (I cannot say), but I would absolutely not recommend for a gents haircut, especially the person that cut my hair. Throughout the haircut I felt entirely uncomfortable as it was so clear she was not confident in barbering, and the end result proved to be the case. What I cannot understand is why the salon accepted the appointment in the first place for a gents haircut if the member of staff was not able to deliver a satisfactory job of men’s hair. And I also cannot understand why the hairdresser herself attempted to deliver a fade instead of explaining that she could not do that, and advising me to go elsewhere.

   Cannot recommend this salon, and stylist Luca enough! He is extremely welcoming, professional and a true perfectionist. I always left feeling so satisfied, with my hair looking and feeling amazing, often receiving lots of compliments! It can sometimes be hard to find a stylist that can execute exactly what you’re after, and without a doubt Luca would always achieve that and more ☺️ now that I have moved away I will truly miss coming here.

   I just had my hair cut with Anita and she is AMAZING! I am so so happy with my new hair cut - I feel like a new woman! She fully understood how I wanted it and was able to cut it into a style that looks good curly and straight. Lovely warm friendly atmosphere - wish I discovered this place earlier.

   Second time Anita cut my hair - she cuts off way too much hair - she does not know the length of 3 inches - cut colour and blow dry cost £136. I forgot that I was unhappy last time with her cut. Prefer Luca. Colour is brilliant though. No serum or spray used to protect hair from very hot blow dry.

   I hadn’t had my hair cut in ages and booked in with Luca for an appointment. He was so attentive and talented and I left feeling super chuffed with my hair. It even looks fab when I style it myself, which to me is sign of a great cut. Thank you Luca, I’ll definitely be returning :)
