   Excellent cut by a very knowledgable stylist (Gitanna) in a welcoming and stylish salon. I have switched to Edward James after 14 years with another salon because Balham is much more convenient. I have thick hair and Gitanna cuts it well and really understands what I am asking for. A big change after all of this time but I am very happy.

   I had an appt with Ed. From the moment you walk in you’re warmly welcomed and treated with care and attention. The atmosphere and venue is beautiful with so much thought into the detail. I received a head, neck and shoulder massage before the hair wash and cut and this was so relaxing and well done. Ed always makes you feel cared for and a million dollars. This salon is so deserving of its recent award, Salon of the Year, they put care into every detail. Thanks guys! I’ll keep coming back.

   Thank you so much to Aaron who did my bouncy/flicky blow dry before a night out last Friday! I have thick, long hair and the blow dry stayed in place until Monday! I loved it and left feeling really confident. The atmosphere and service in Edward James is second to none, will be back!

   Always a wonderful experience at Edward James Salon! My first time at the Balham location and the service was incredible. I was treating my best friend to a blow dry for her hen. They went above and beyond! Wonderful staff, quality of products and a stunning salon. Daren and Laura did our blow drys. We’ll be back!

Due to my hairdresser moving, I tried Aaron at Edward James in Balham and am so happy with his care and attention to detail.    I visited this salon for the first time today and I had a wonderful experience! Emily listened to exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond to deliver the most amazing result. She also made some really good recommendations about what would look best! I got a beautiful hair cut, soft baby lights and a treatment. The finished result is so great, I just love it. The massage at the start was also so nice and unexpected! Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable visit, I will definitely be back.

   I naturally have very fine hair that breaks easily. Going to the hairdressers before I tried Edward James was always a very upsetting experience for me. Every time I sat in the chair it highlighted how thin my hair was and stylists wouldn't know what to do with it. Harriet has been absolutely amazing from my first hair extensions consultation and they have given me a massive confidence boost. She's always considerate of what works for me and my lifestyle, as well as retaining the health of my natural hair. I've been having hair extensions at Edward James for nearly 3 years now and haven't looked back once. I love them. Even though I've moved to the other side of London I make the journey to Edward James Balham so Harriet can do my hair - she's great!

   Had a wonderful first experience here with Danielle who was so welcoming and listened to exactly what I wanted. She works fast but you can tell she’s completely focused on delivering what you want! I’ve had issues before in other salons where stylists will unfortunately rush and make me feel like more of a burden (I have extremely thick hair and it takes longer than a usual client). Danielle and her colleagues (I think one of them was called Becca) worked together to get my hair perfectly sorted whilst not making me feel like I was being rushed out. I appreciate all your time and hard work! By far the best salon I’ve tried in London so far and one of the best babylights I’ve had. After I left I did notice there was quite a lot of product left in my hair as it hadn’t been properly washed out, so it was a little frustrating to have to wash this again so soon after. My hair also wasn’t fully dried at the end. So just a recommendation for clients with thicker hair to ensure this detail as maybe they aren’t used to this. All in all a lovely and relaxing experience. Thank you Danielle!

   Barda was absolutely perfect in every way, she made me feel comfortable from the moment I sat down. I was offered a drink whilst we discussed what I would like done. The massage was incredible and I am so pleased with how she styled my hair. I was so impressed with her attention to detail. The salon itself is gorgeous and I really enjoyed my appointment. I will/have already recommended to friends and I will definitely be back!!

   Edward James is easily the best salon I have ever been to! As soon as you walk in the staff are friendly, professional and welcoming. I had a highlights done and they did exactly what I asked for, I have been living in London for 8 years and this is the first time I have been happy with the colour. I had a complimentary head and shoulder massage in my seat which was such a nice touch. The salon is lovely and relaxing and the price is very reasonable, I have found my new salon. I even received a call after my visit to check that I was happy with my hair. Thank you!
