   Have been going to Hectik hair Beckenham since 3-4 years . Friendly hair dressers , very caring , personal welcome what more can I ask ! They go an xtra mile for the personal warmth. There was a time when I could not wash my hair due to my shoulder operation but hair dresser there kindly did it without any charge at all - a very kind gesture. Besides this it is in the gym where I go ( David Lloyd) with ample space for parking .

   I visited the salon a few months ago for a trim. I had a really friendly stylist but my curly/afro hair was styled dead/slick straight without asking me how I wanted it finished. I rarely get my hair blow dried/straightened and I’m careful with how much heat is applied to avoid damage to my curls. I also don’t like the dead straight look. I left the salon fearing my hair would have long term damage with how sleek it looked and that texture/curl pattern had changed. I called the salon back and spoke to a senior lady stylist who was understanding and advised me to wait a few washes for my curls to return to normal and if they didn’t return to call back and book in an appointment. After a few weeks my curls still hadn’t returned to normal, some parts of my hair were straight and most had a looser/different texture. Called the salon back and spoke to a gentleman stylist who didn’t seem to believe my hair could have changed or that heat from straighteners could damage curly/afro hair. I found this frustrating. I was passed on to the stylist I had initially spoken to but I left the call feeling they were offended by my complaint, they didn’t want to deal with me and I was a nuisance. Three months later my curls are still not the same as they were. My review score is mainly for the customer service I received after the visit and not caring about my concern. Be aware if you have curly hair and are getting it straightened.

   Absolutely love this Salon! Always a treat going for my hair knowing it's going to be looking fab. Been going to Hectic Hair for about 6 years now and wouldn't change a thing. Lovely talented stylists that don't cost a fortune.

   Lid was exceptional, during the pandemic I was not able to visit the studio, in the meantime I tried different hair shops and barbers, none are matching his professionalism and friendliness! He always gets what kind of cut I want and I always leave the place happy. He's an asset for the business, thank you Lid!

   After a disastrous experience at another salon the sheer amount of professionalism and experience Megan displayed was fantastic. She was meticulous in her methods and was able to get an even better colour than hoped for and keep the hair in great condition. It was a long process but Megan and the staff were friendly and personable so it was comfortable and relaxing. Highly recommend.
