Last Friday I needed to see a GP urgently. The receptionist at Avenue House was very helpful and helped me book an online appointment. Within 90 minutes I had a phone call and within another 60 minutes I was seen by Dr Sawhney. She was excellent, so professional. She listened attentively about my symptoms, gave me a thorough examination and advised me what to do. Furthermore she arranged a blood test within two working days and referred me to CRH for tests. (Over to you now CRH ). In these days of bashing the NHS, yes it's less than perfect these days, I think the positives need to be mentioned.

If I ever have any health-related concerns, I am always assured of a response or an appointment if necessary. Recently, I had a minor issue with my medication, and it was promptly resolved. Always friendly, nice and professional. Been with them years and won't change practise, they are so lovely and always handle everything with care. Whilst it's previously been hard to be seen for anything other than emergencies, I've had to have a few appointments this week which weren't emergencies and I was seen extremely quickly. In fact same day!! I appreciate the changes in the system recently will add strain to the surgery but I'm so impressed and pleased with how they are handling it. Seen a big improvement in response times for a variety of admin queries and medical issues I've had recently. Thank you to all the Inspire Health team.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all that work at Inspire Health. I have a debilitating problem which has meant that I have been off work for 7 weeks. The receptionists have been wonderful and delightful to talk to, something you do not expect from a lot of surgeries today. And to my wonderful Doctor who works within the partnership of the Inspire Health surgeries. She has put out all the stops to get me better as soon as possible so that I can get back to work. From chasing up the hospital to get me appointments, to getting me the relevant medicines to speed up my recovery. I cannot thank her enough. Having ulcerated colitis is no joke xxx

Just tried to use the new online booking system AGAIN - three previous attempts the system has crashed and I haven't been able to make contact. Rubbish! The information on the website says it opens at 7am - well, when I try to access it today it won't be available until 7.30. Nightmare for people who work! No wonder A&E departments are overwhelmed.

This whole new booking system is a joke, i have had no cause to see a doctor for over four years yet today i called to try to see somebody as i have a bad chest infection that is getting worse. I was told there wasnt capacity to be allowed to make an appointment, being told by the person that answered the phone to call back tomorrow to try then. Crazy

Since Inspire Health took over, the management of this surgery has been shambolic. I’ve been with the surgery 7 years, and always found the whole patient facing staff team quite wonderful. But now, I can’t even get to see them. Currently it’s the ‘call at 8 am’ lottery for urgent appointments (who decides what’s urgent?!), the obligatory 30-60 minute wait to get an answer, and to be told they’re not taking routine appointments because a new system goes live on 27th (9 days away), and the system needs to be empty when it’s launched. What nonsense. If you’re genuinely patient centred, you’d ensure the old system and new run in parallel for a period of time so as to create a smooth transition. It’s no wonder people pitch up at A&E and clog it up if this is how GPs are now (avoiding) treating patients. Not happy at all, and in a great deal of pain.
