Service was very good, the advisor was understanding towards my disability. One thing I disagree with, the assistant didn’t want to look at my proof of disability. Except for that every thing was good 10/10 to your team in Retford
Visited Specsavers today for my first ever optician appointment and received outstanding service from start to finish. I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist, and then had a fantastic experience with Arooj, who explained everything clearly for someone as clueless as me. Sophie then helped me choose the right pair of glasses and completed the appointment with me. A very professional place, and would highly recommended!
I had an incredible experience at Specsavers. From the moment I walked in, the team was warm, patient, and genuinely attentive. They took their time walking me through all my options, explaining each step clearly and making sure I felt comfortable with every choice. When it came to selecting my frames, they didn’t rush me at all—they encouraged me to take my time, try different styles, and see what felt right. Their input was thoughtful and honest, helping me find a frame that truly suits me. I left feeling confident, well taken care of, and genuinely appreciated as a customer. It was excellent service from start to finish.
The booking process was very easy. Upon arrival the eye test procedure was very straight forward and each person who examined my eyes explained what was happening. All the staff were very friendly & knowledgable. Also after I had my results I was shown all the glasses I could choose from but nobody tried any pushy sales tactics which put me at ease as i've never had glasses before and wanted to come back with a family member to choose. Excellent service from start to finish!
I came in for a contact lens trial appointment and the lady with light blonde hair was super friendly and incredibly patient with how long I was taking to put the contact lenses in! She didn't make me feel rushed at all and she was so nice to chat with along the way. She made me feel so at ease and comfortable, even giving me some tips that actually helped! Sorry I didn't get her name, but she was working Friday 24th October 11am. It was a pleasure to have her for my appointment. After my contact lens fitting they make sure the lenses fit you correctly in a separate room with a machine you look into. I was super pleased with this service aswell because it shows they care about the importance of it fitting correctly. They also sent me home with a pack of trial contact lenses to try for 5 days!! which I thought was incredible!! they’ll call me in a weeks time to see how I’m getting on. I wasn’t expecting any of this so I was super impressed and it really feels like they care about your contact lens journey, thank you specsavers Retford! It was such a pleasant visit and I’d highly recommend this contact lenses trial appointment service if you’re interesting in switching to contact lenses.
Great for an eye test but that’s it. The opticians seem to treat the staff with contempt. The lenses offered are so over priced! Other local opticians offer way better quality lenses, even online stores are better! Why pay £150 when same online are £20?
Friendly staff that put you at ease, good selection of glasses just ashame the place is so small. TV available for advertising but not in use and to be honest far too close to the seating
Visited Specsavers in Retford yesterday. I had a great experience. I need to mention a few of the staff as they made me feel at ease and well looked after as I get a little nervous at times. Samantha was amazing when I had to have an additional test, Gill was fabulous helping me chose glasses and Dan and Marina were great at helping me with my payment and just making me feel like a valued customer. Would highly recommend.
Gill was extremely helpful with arranging everything for my Dads new glasses. She really went the extra mile. I would highly recommend them especially Gill of course
