   I stupidly got a bit of water in a jet wash tank and brought it back to the formby store. The gents fixed the problem within a few minutes and got me back on my way but it was how friendly and efficient they were that’s prompted me to leave a review. I’m always a bit nervous dealing with tool shops and mechanics etc as I’m not a technical person but these lads didn’t judge just fixed the job. They will now get all my business. Cheers Gents.

   First time using this company. Couldn't recommend more highly. They went out of their way to provide a first class service, both on the phone and in person. They helped load the machinery into my car and even took my recycling off my hands to make more room in the boot!! Nothing was too much trouble. The equipment was in good condition and worked really well. Helpful advice given on handling the machinery. Very reasonable rates. Needed to extend the hire. This was done without a fuss. Will definitely use in future. Thank you.

   My elderly parents (78 yrs old) suffered a leak through their ceiling, so on their behalf I hired an industrial dehumidifier from smiths equipment hire and paid for 3 days hire. After 7 hours of use the industrial dehumidifier had collected around 300ml of water, which was a similar amount to what my domestic dehumidifier (costing £100 and taken to my parents as a back up) had collected. I therefore decided based on poor performance to return the industrial dehumidifier to Smiths the same day . When lifting the dehumidifier to carry it out of my parents house I had the pleasure of having a cupful of water run out of the side of the dehumidifier and onto my parents carpet - not best pleased! You might think that this poor experience would result in Smiths offering some form of resolution - apology, discount? No - I was charged £55 for a machine whose performance was pitiful and worse still soaked my parents carpet - nice one Smiiths!

   Simon and Jay deserve an award for patience dealing with me this week. As a complete novice, they advised , instructed and supported my project to make a living edge bench from a piece of raw yew.
