   Took the day off during the week and decided to go shopping in my first visit to the LIDL near me. It was peaceful and quiet during the week and afternoon. I was able to shop in a very serene environment, and the aisle looked clean with items well arranged on the shelves, although there were a few hazards like pallets on the way while the staffs were stacking the items on the shelves. Got virtually all I needed,some I could not locate, and no one was available to assist. On getting to the counter for payment, the queue started building up, and there was one till assistant lady. Was not impressed with her approach and behavior to a black guy she attended to, though. The guy's fabric conditioner spilled due to the fault of the till assistant . She had to tell him to go outside the store and enter back again and get another one which is not polite.When she should have either called someone who is a staff to bring another one or allow him to pass through the other empty till. I reckon she won't have spoken to me like that or treated me that way. However ,I would suggest retraining staff and also ensuring more employees are proactive when there are queues at the till.

   Usually friendly, helpful staff on the till.. Today, the young lad,at the till, was rude to an elderly gentleman for no reason, whatsoever!! He was then rude n unfriendly with myself and daughter.. I feel a course in customer service, might, help this miserable young lad!!!

   Best crusty bread there is and great unusual beers .. but the state of the shop is dire half the shelves and freezers are empty and i picked up some of the above mentioned unusual beers when I got to the checkout they wouldn't scan and the assistant put them to one side I said could you not ask for a price as i really wanted those my exact words were 'so I can't have them ' her answer ..' no ' pathetic customer service and attitude lidl you deserve nothing ..needless to say I'll stick to asda and the beer shop
