   Two weeks ago, I tried to use their charging station to charge my electric car. However, it kept showing errors and wouldn't work. Their app also couldn't find the device… so I wasted over 20 minutes charging before even starting and then went shopping. Today I received a parking ticket for exceeding the time limit. And their app has lost the day's charging history. I'm extremely disappointed… I don't recommend anyone use their charging station.

   Lidl is conveniently placed and has a decent range of products. We shop in the Ashton store 2 or 3 times a week. We use the Lidl App which gives weekly offers on a range of products but it's very very frustrating to note offers on products which are not on stock but strangely enough reappear in stock on the day after the offer has expired! My husband has just returned from a quick visit to purchase a few things as our grandchildren are with us most of tomorrow. Yet again the muffins in the offer aren't available. Also the brand of spreadable butter I use which wasn't on the shelves on my visit on Thursday is still not displayed in the fridge so hubby asked an assistant if there was any in the back only for her to snap back that 'if we had any it would be there'. Strange then that on our frequent visits so many staff are restocking items ? These negative aspects have impacted on what would otherwise have been a good rating UPDATE: the spreadable butter the assistant couldn't be bothered to look for at 4pm yesterday was in stock at 10am today when they opened .....

   Prices can be a hit and miss at times but they always seem to have interesting products in the middle isle and if you have the Lidl plus app yoi can take advantage of some great deals including bakery deal. I got a free fresh loaf of bread the other day and paired it with some soup and it was great.

   The store is relatively tidy.. the bakery, however always looks empty and bags are on the floor... The range/choice of vegan/dairy-free products is very very poor. Sometimes not enough staff in the tills, so always an unwelcome wait. But the staff are friendly

   I visited the Lidl store in Ashton-in-Makerfield today and picked up a pack of sushi that had a clear 50% off orange discount sticker on it (as shown in the photo). However, when I went to pay at the counter, I was told that only 20% discount could be applied, despite the sticker showing otherwise. When I pointed this out to the staff, I was simply told they couldn’t honor the 50% discount. This was confusing and disappointing, as the pricing label should reflect the actual discount customers will receive. I hope Lidl can review this issue to avoid misleading customers in the future. Clear and consistent labeling is essential for a good shopping experience.
