This is an okay store if you are desperate for essentials, but to be totally honest I swerve it if I can go elsewhere. There is an odd smell especially near the meat section which is never a good sign. Ive bought meat from here that was actually expired on the day of me buying it, and you have to rummage through the fruit and veg to find anything that isn’t mushy or going bad. They don’t really keep up on the stock levels either so you cant find what you ask for. Good that they have an argos inside… other than that I’d rather go elsewhere.

Good car parking and you get 2hr stay so good as can go to other shops in Woolton Village. I find that the supermarket does not hold a large selection of things and lots if times empty shelves.

*edit: 2025 Aug Still great! Good veg, meat, baker, beer, cashpoint, ready made meals. Large parking lot this location is never too crowded, with lots of lanes open and self checkout. Tucked away at the bottom of a hill in the busy woolton village.

Sainsbury is a fantastic supermarket with a lot going for it. The most noticeable feature is the ample parking space, making it incredibly convenient, even during busy hours. Its prime location is another highlight, easily accessible and situated near major roads, which adds to its overall convenience. The staff are exceptionally friendly and always ready to assist. Whether you need help finding a product or have a question, they go out of their way to make your shopping experience smooth and enjoyable. The store itself is well-organized, with a wide selection of fresh produce, household essentials, and specialty items. Everything is easy to find, and the shelves are always well-stocked. Overall, it offers a great shopping experience, blending convenience, excellent customer service, and a well-maintained facility. It’s definitely a go-to spot for stress-free grocery shopping!

Nearly everything is at least slightly better quality than similarly priced competitors. Tesco arent what they were. So here I am.

What a miserable shopping experience today, in this tired and tawdry store. Untidy, poorly-stocked shelves. Empty boxes not cleared off shelves, dirty surfaces, stock in the wrong places. There is a sad atmosphere in the store and no-one, neither staff nor customers were smiling. Fortunately, there are so many much better supermarkets in the district that I never have to go there again.

Pretty good size store, selection and friendly staff but my favourite Sainsbury's is Rice Lane Walton L9.

I like the food quality and selection that this supermarket has to offer and the staff are always dead friendly but last week I thought I'd use their self service tills to put my shopping through as there are loads of them and only ever 2 staffed tills with huge queues at all times. The alarm went off twice because I'd bought my daughter a jumper (I did show it to staff at the self service who said it was fine) and then a 3rd time when I tried to leave the supermarket the store locked my trolley! It was really embarrassing. Apparently its because anytime you buy a clothing item from self service it alerts the staff on exit according to a member of staff. Well if that's the case I certainly won't be buying clothes that way again. A better system needs putting in place to stop this!

First visit today as only found out it was there a couple of weeks ago. Pleasant shopping experience. Lovely store, wee laid out and car park very user friendly. Parking spaces were roomy, not tight like many supermarkets. Recommend.
