We lived in Samara for 2 and a half years now. It has ups and downs but overall I can say it has been great. The location is really good as it is just walking distance from work. I just hope the elevator won’t stop working again for a long a time as it is hard to carry stuffs all the way upstairs. Otherwise, their team is professional and approachable. Ewan really helped and assist us from the process of transferring to a new flat. It made the renting process way less stressfull than I expected. I also loved their complimentary wifi. So I would recommend Samara to other people.

I’ve been living in the same property for 3 years and have always wanted to stay—great location: the uni within 5 mins and the city centre within 10 mins. The rent is affordable and the property is fully furnished. Promptly responded to flat’s issues. I definitely recommend it. Always love the sunset from my flat.

This is my second year living with Samara Letting, and I’ve already renewed for a third. The place and the facilities are a bit old, but the great location and reasonable price make it highly cost-effective. Plus, the office is right downstairs, so it’s super convenient to get help whenever I need it during work hours.

I’ve been living at Samara Plaza for about two and a half years, and there are both positives and negatives about staying here. On the bright side, the location is great—very close to the university campus, and there are various room types and price ranges to suit different budgets. The staff are friendly and usually respond quickly when you report an issue. However, there are also some downsides. I live in LS2 9DU on the fifth floor, and the elevator keeps breaking down, especially around Christmas and New Year, sometimes even lasting until February. During that time, I had to walk up and down every day, which was exhausting. The worst experience was when my friends and I had to move floors while new students were moving in—we had to carry all our heavy luggage ourselves. More recently, the elevator broke again around Halloween, and the notice about it came very late. The same thing happened with the hot water shutdown—the notification arrived long after we needed it. The elevator issues have been ongoing for the past two and a half years, which is both unbelievable and really inconvenient.

Horrible customer service, really unhelpful and really handy with throwing out charges for nearly everything. Will charge you for maintenance issues if they see them as non issues not fair though as I didn’t come to uni to be a maintenance severity spotter, completely lost in the sauce

Living in Samara's flat for one and a half years in Leeds - it is a wonderful experience. All the staffs are friendly and helpful. They always try their best to help me & respond to maintenance or other enquires in a quite reasonable time. Unluckily I accidentally got my hob broken. The price they charged for a replacement was also reasonable. For personal reasons, I have had to re-assign my agreement recently. The entire re-assignment process is smooth (many thanks to Paige who helped me with this). I also got the rest of my rent and the full deposit back. Of course, the flat itself is not that perfect - a bit old with wear and tear & the kitchen unit is not that tidy when I moved in. But considering its price I personally have nothing to complain about.

Based on my experience, This is a full review on many aspects of Samara Lettings (Samara Plaza) Some issues are more important than others, but hopefully this will help future tenants or just people who are interested in going for Samara Lettings. - Wifi: even though they have no obligation in providing this, the speed is quite bad, it took ages for Youtube videos to load, worst try for anything else. - Customer service: There's a couple of kind and gentle members, but the majority of times, staff is rude and they show no interest in your tenant matters. As if they were doing you a favor. - "Charge you" is their favorite word and phrase. You will find this in almost every paragraph of their contract or any message you receive. As a customer, you get the impression that the only thing that will solve your problems is having to pay extra for anything. - As an international student, I would've expected staff to have something like an "induction"? or something that helps foreigners settle down in their first days in another country. - "Out of hours" assumption to instantly charge you: During the last days of my tenancy, I had extended my stay. The first day of this extended period, I could not enter the property because the key had not been updated, so I had to contact the out of hours team for them to help me gain access. Their first words (instead of asking for any details to check on system) were "it'll be a 60 GBP fine, let us know your card details before we dispatch someone". - Parcels: for a big building and loads of tenants, there is no room for carriers to store parcels. I understand Samara Lettings can't take responsibility for this, but it's not hard to designate a space (could be just literally a box) where carriers (e.g., Amazon) can leave parcels. I remember there was a time where there were signs of "you'll be charged a fine if your parcels are found". -TV: again, another aspect that has no obligation on Samara's behalf, but when I moved in, it took almost 3 months for a TV to be installed in the flat (3 bedrooms). If the flat is due to include a TV, it should've been earlier or before tenants move in. -Cleaning fees: Aside from staff having no absolute idea how this works, the charges are ridiculous. When I ended my tenancy, I had to raise a dispute because they were charging 100 GBP for stuff that made no sense (like dust on a table, that can easily be wiped off with a cloth). Of course I won the dispute, but this again demonstrates the lack of commitment and respect for tenants. - Kitchen sink and washing machine: Since day 01 we moved in, the sink was clogged. We had to report this issue so many times, as they could never properly fix it. However, they got tired of this and just decided to charge us 120 GBP for an issue that had been present since before we moved in. I would never go back to Samara Lettings, nor I recommend it. You don't get for what you pay.

Moved in to one of their studio flats in July, two days in I found that the flat was infested with silverfish and damp and the property was in terrible conditions even when I'd first moved in. The silverfish were everywhere even in the lights. I sent a maintenance emergency message straight away and got no reply for days, had to go into the letting agency with my family and demand a refund (in which I'd paid advanced rent for this property) this refund took a month!!! And they didn't give me the full amount or give me any compensation from this traumatic experience I am still to this day OWED money. PLEASE DO NOT RENT WITH THESE PEOPLE SEE IMAGES

DO NOT RENT WITH SAMARA!!! You will instantly regret it, one of the most frustrating and aggravating experiences, they are extremely slow with their replies and actions, not to mention the flat which looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years (grime and dirt and dust in the showers and shelves and mould in the fridge). Can not fully explain how I feel like I have reduced my life expectancy dealing with this awful letting agency.
