We stayed in the sherwood lodge. The fence is propped up, the floors were badly scuffed, the walls were dirty, both the fridge and dishwasher had plastic broken, the sofa and saucepans are very worn, 3 of the beds were rock hard, the upstair bedroom has no curtains.

Well equipped very tidy, spacious enough, nice hot tub close to the building, but the jets are pants. It should have a good strong bubble! Quiet area. Relatively private, although can see through the hedges. Nice grounds, great base for walks. However, Loxley Lodge has a wasps nest along the gutter line right above the lounge door! This meant we couldn’t have the doors open all time as they kept coming in, they were especially active on hotter days, but still in and out constantly other times. Quieten down in evening. It wasn’t a massive issue, but it does need sorting. Soft close toilet seat would be better. More dishwasher tablets available for the full week. Bigger coat rack, and a boot rack? Also a few board games would be good. Apart from the few niggles, I’d still recommend here.

We stayed at Redbrick Woodland Lodges last month and had an absolutely wonderful week! The Loxley lodge was perfect for us as a coupleβ€”cozy, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Using the lodge as a base for exploring the stunning Peak District was ideal. After long days of riding through the breathtaking countryside, coming back to relax in the hot tub was an absolute blessing. It was the perfect way to unwind and soak in the peaceful woodland surroundings. In addition to the Peak District adventures, we also visited the nearby Sherwood Forest and the Steam Railway, both of which were fantastic experiences that we would highly recommend. Sherwood Forest offered a wonderful glimpse into history and nature, while the Steam Railway was a was more of a children’s venue. The location is fantasticβ€”quiet, serene, and close enough to all the best trails and sights. The lodge itself felt like a true home away from home, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made our stay extra special. We had an amazing time at Redbrick Woodland Lodges and would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a relaxing getaway combined with outdoor adventure and local attractions. We can’t wait to return!

Stayed for a weekend here in January in one of the cottages. The cottage was spacious and had a seriously well stocked kitchen. The Hot Tub was ready for when we arrived and being under a cover was great for the winter weather, though we were lucky and had very little rain. It's conviently located and we made a couple of trips into Edwinstowe during our stay here. I would recommend and having a had a quick walk around the small site, I would say that the barn and some of the lodges certainly look impressive from the outside.

We had a great holiday staying in the Pine lodge. Very peaceful location close to shops, bars and local attractions. Kitchen well equipped , accommodation spacious and hot tub is excellent. My only little criticism is we came for 7 nights and were missing a washer/dryer. After muddy walks we could have done with a washing machine. But in overall it was a good value for money holiday and highly recommend this Lodge.

Upon arrival, there was a strong sewage smell in the downstairs double ensuite. contacted the manager who informed me there was no one on site to assist, but I was welcome to go to the reception box and help myself to some drain cleaner. No apology, no follow-up. This didn't work, and the smell persisted. Luckily (?) there were only 2 couples in our party, so we ended up closing off the bedroom for the weekend, and my partner and I slept in the twin bedroom. We didn't see anyone attend to the hot tub all weekend, and the general cleanliness didn't feel great, so we only felt comfortable using it the once, which was a shame as a hot tub was one of our main attractions in the first place. The kitchen was well equipped for the most part, despite a broken bin, which we had to position a plant on to prevent the lid from opening. The blinds in the lodge are very old and stained. Some broken and could do with replacing. Perhaps most alarmingly was the onsite rubbish heap we could see from the window. Three enormous heaps of rubbish didn't do much for the relaxing forest surroundings promised. It was a shame. The site has potential, but is clearly not maintained.

Great week long break at Redbrick lodges in the Oakridge lodge. 1. Arrival was straightforward, got the code and got in a little early with no hassle. Welcome gift of wine and teas/coffees. 2. Lodge is huge - fantastic space, with all 5 of us (parents and 3 teenagers); having plenty of space. Plenty of privacy around the lodge. 3. Equipment is fine. Would like a couple more smaller/sharper kitchen knives and a peeler, but that's it. Hobs are electric so when planning your food, plan accordingly. Plenty of pans/crockery/cutlery and glassware. Big fridge and freezer! 4. Hot tub is awesome. Checked daily, no complaints (used every day) 5. Park is small, and there are no paths/trails out of the park, so cycling is done via crossing or cycling up/down a major road. That being said, we primarily went for the peace and found plenty! Woods and paths are on the doorstep - just via the main road. 6. You may see some photos of a hotel/restaurant/bar on site- that property has now gone, so be aware. 7. Internet (wireless) is slow when everyone is on site. Had a hiccup while there, but was sorted in a day. These things happen. 4G Mobile signal is 100%. 8. Lodge was clean and tidy, but know you are in the woods. 9. On site staff were great and any hiccups addressed promptly. Thank you Conor and team. 10. Plenty of cleaning stuff for catering: would have liked an indoor broom, but dustpan and brush and hoover were fine. 11. Beds / pillows were very comfortable. 12. Towels were soft, good condition and plentiful.

Overall a nice location on nice grounds with well spaced cabins. However, during our stay at the moshannon cabin, there were multiple problems, the heating was stuck on and wouldn't turn off, the hot tub jets were stuck on the weakest setting, there are no working locks on any of the doors, the upstairs floor is not insulated and is a single layer of wood, every footstep sounds like a gunshot from downstairs. The hob, oven and dishwasher didn't not work properly, the lighting was atrocious, there are very dim lights in the rooms and the lights in the living room/kitchen are poorly placed, with lights directly above the TV facing the viewer, lights above the kitchen cupboards causing glare on the TV and casting shadows on the kitchen counter. But by far the worst part of the holiday was the gate, which you have to have a fob to open, we had told them previously that there were to be 3 vehicles coming and they provided us with a single fob which greatly restricted our freedom to come and go spontaneously, and had to be planned ahead with the rest of our group. Finally, the entrance is dangerous, you can only see it when you are a few yards away and cannot see oncoming traffic when leaving.

Well what can u say this place is just lovely. Stayed in log cabins before usually all packed in tight This place is spacious doesn't face other kabins. Well looked after very quiet. Would defiantly recommend. If any bad points can be made from this the windows could of done with a clean other than that top marks. Would defiantly go again for the money. Well done redbrick.
