As per other recent reviews, this barbers is now under new management and whilst the signage hasn't changed yet, it certainly isn't "Antonio's Barbers" anymore. I had been coming here for over 6 years with Antonio & his team running it and never had any problems but with the new owners I won't be coming back again. Awful haircut, had to tidy it up myself at home. The guy I had barely knew how to attach the guard to the clippers let alone actually cut hair. Left with patches missing, not faded/blended between the sides & top, random bits of long hair all over the place & the top may as well have been cut with lawnmower it's all over the place. Then he decided to charge more than advertised on the board & when I challenged it was told I should have asked the price beforehand... why would I have done that when it's advertised?! Couldn't be bothered to argue over £3 & just wanted to get out of there to fix the mess he'd made so reluctantly paid it. This place always used to be clean, friendly & professional but is now none of those things. A real shame! For the first time in years will have to find somewhere else.

Under new management. Person who cut my hair didn't speak English. My sides are uneven. I just paid and left; although I should have just refused to pay. I've now got to go to another barber shop to get a skin fade to cover up the bad lines. Bloke was nice enough. But can't cut hair.

Good haircut, however if you wish to go there, ask the price first. The sign outside showed £13 for a kids haircut, and another sign inside said that kids haircut would cost £17 on Saturdays. We went on a Friday and we were charged £17. We asked why, as both signs said otherwise, and we were told “you should have asked the price before, the displayed advertising is wrong”.

I went in on a Thursday afternoon. It was very busy and took 1 hour waiting time to actually get my haircut. They had there friends distracting the barbers so there was a massive delay. The haircut was quite expensive (£29 for a skin fade and a bread trim) and took 1 hour. The haircut was good so that's why it's a three star

Since moving to South Street in June 2020 and have visited now 3 times what with lockdown I have been pleased with my cut on each visit. They take care and time to ensure that you get the cut you want. They are very polite given the pressure they are under given the numbers waiting to have a cut. All in all great staff and service. I had my cut on Monday 12th April.

Unfortunately, I have to change my review after few extra visits. Waiting time over 2 hours as it apparently takes over 1 hour to do 1 simple haircut. Barbers are smoking outside and do not even wsh their hands afterwards. Not coming back again. They used to be professionals wearing shirt and bowties, but now they have t-shirts and can barely do a haircut.

Antonio is a lovely fella as is Gabriel and they are both professional and very good at what they do. I always get treated very well and their dedication to their craft is highly impressive. Affordable and the Hot Towel's are amazing :-)
