   Only stayed 1 night whilst passing through and got a great price for a bed in a 6 bed dorm. Rooms and facilities were very clean and the shower was nice and hot with decent pressure. By far though, the best part of the whole experience was the wonderful, friendly staff and the incredible breakfast they cooked!

   For a YHA this was a great place to stay, large kitchen which is well equipped with everything you need. Comfy beds, Basic, which you expect, but large communal dining room and large comfy lounge. Would definitely stay again.

   Pretty standard. Good bike store and firendly staff. Rooms rather hot and windows restricted from opening fully (for safety?) made for a quite uncomfortable night. Their energy bills (and climate impact) must be uncessarily high. Beds and wash facilities were basic but good. Common areas pretty bare, feels as though still recovering from covid. Breakfast is rather overpriced at cafe prices but not nice cafe quality or quantity.

   An exclusive yha trip with 15 friends. Within walking distance of a fabulous village with all facilities including a heated lido open all year. Whilst the venue was warm,clean and provided the necessary drying room, it was not one of the best we have stayed in. The communal lounge was small. Some of our rooms were in a separate annex across the small parking space. For large group catering, the kitchen lacked a few large serving dishes,wine glasses,trays and a big teapot! The decor requires much attention and handwashing facilities in the communal loos would have been nice. Sanitiser was available. Personally I would stay again for where it is but not because its a good YHA.

   Really nice hostel in the middle of the peak district national park. Rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and you have good options for dinner and breakfast in the hostel. Most of the visitors you find here are hikers and sportive people who are visiting the area. Expect people to go to bed early. Not a party hostel at all. Big kitchen available with microwave, furnace and enough pots and pans to prepare your own food. Not so many room to stuff your belongings in the rooms, pretty annoying. Except for the clean showers and toilets there is no public sink for brushing your teeth. Only sink is in the room.

   Friendly staff and good sized rooms. Breakfast was pretty good too with decent variety. The mattresses were a little smelly which gave the whole room an unpleasant musky smell. Each block shares 2 toilets and 2 showers which were decent. Has bike storage and cleaning facility which was great.

   Staff were friendly and made me feel welcome after a long day of hiking. The dining area/reception was comfortable and there is a boiler room which was also available to dry damp shoes even during May/June. The room was decent but slightly pricey since it is furnished only with the bare essentials. Had a hot breakfast which was great and relatively value for dollar
