I’ve been coming here for years and I’m always super happy with service and results. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. They really take their time and make sure everything is perfect. My nails always look amazing and I get so many compliments on them. I highly recommend this salon!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Possible the worst nails done, £60 gone to WASTE ! The nails have different shapes, it was not done nicely or properly ( I had to get my own removed I was refusing to keep them on ) I don’t usually write reviews but I can not go past this one ! I wasted 2 hours of my time in this shop, the shop was empty so there’s not even an excuse of the ‘busyness’ making the nails rush, even then they’re absolutely horrific.
I had my french nails done (just gel nail polish) in the past by a lady who did them really professionally hence I returned but this time my experience was bad with poorly done french nails (cuticles on my hands are still there and white polish on the tips are not symmetrical) on both my hands and toes. 3 stars are for the staff was friendly and clean environment. But to be fair if my experience was bad doesn't mean everyone's will be bad.
I've now been here 3 times and will definitely be returning. I had a bad experience elsewhere getting BIAB for the first time, where nails had chipped after 6 days, peeled off by 2 weeks and had cuts on my fingers that took a couple of weeks to heal. Hook Nails were kind enough to fit me in to sort my nails out and seemed very knowledgeable. The team are friendly and also gentle - I've never had cuts on my fingers getting nails done here, which shows more experience in my eyes. I've not walked away disappointed, so thank you!
I always come here - the staff are incredibly good at what they do and I am always happy with the result. They're more than happy to listen to what design/style you need and change it up when you prefer something else. Highly recommend. I also always call ahead for an appointment as they do get busy - especially on weekends - and whenever I've made an appointment I get seen and done so quickly. Someone in another review mentioned nail artists switching customers sometimes, but the artists are all amazing and they may switch who is working on you so that whoever is best at that type of art/work is working with you. Love it here.
A year ago there was a good salon, but recently a very poor quality of service. My nails started to fall off after 12 hours! I don't recommend.
This place is a little bit hit and miss. It’s modern, clean and the staff are friendly and accommodating. However I’ve had my nails done here a number of times now and sad to say I don’t use it anymore. They remove the shellac without wrapping with remover and pads and instead use the electric tool. So over time it has weakened my nails. The last couple of times, even though I’ve had shellac, my nails have chipped which has never happened before. I also once got a manicure to find that my cuticles were all red and bleeding when I got home. Bit of a shame.
Having tried arylics and gel at other salons, I've never been so estatic and satisfied with my treatment than with my experience at Hook Nail & Spa. The acrylics are super sturdy and the colours are so vibrant - just beautiful! The workers were extremely professional and polite and continually made sure that I was happy with the treatment. Following this wonderful experience, I could not stop thanking them and admiring my nails. I could not recommend them enough! Thank you so much again!
Hadn't been here before but glad I decided to come today as now I know I have a very good local nail salon. Got SNS done and the quality is very good, it's very evenly covered. Will definitely be returning :)
If you want an amazing gel french manicure look no further. I took this photo nearly 3 weeks after having my nails done and they're still perfect! They're also very good at eyebrow waxing/tinting!
