   I’ve tried so many nail salons since moving to Coulsdon three years ago, and York Nails is hands down the best! The staff are absolutely amazing — so welcoming, friendly, and kind — and they make every visit such a lovely experience. The attention to detail and care that goes into their nails is unreal. They take their time, truly pride themselves on their work, and the results are always flawless. I’m always beyond happy with my nails and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly, highly recommend!

   I think they work very fast, this is good and bad, good if you are in a rush, however there is little attention to detail, my nails all look different shape, the thumbs are too short making them look a little odd, especially when u came in with enough length on them for them to keep it. When mentioned they said okay, and continued doing what they did before. Honestly I wouldn’t mind paying more, if they just slowdown a little bit and pay more attention to the costumer and the nails themselves!

   I visited York nails when my shellac manicure I had done elsewhere chipped before an event. I booked online for 9.30am on a Saturday and I was a bit confused that the man working there had no idea what I was talking about when I said I had an appointment. Salon upon arrival was clean and very busy. Unfortunately I had to wait 20 minutes over my appointment time for an employee to be available for a shellac manicure and removal. My shellac removal was slightly painful as the tool for removal did occasionally cut into the skin on the side of my fingernail. The shellac manicure itself was straight forward and I was happy with the colour choice and the way the employee filed my nails. Unfortunately there was no prior warning of the salon not accepting card and cash payments only. The staff acted very strange when I asked to take out cash from the cashpoint and made me leave my phone! As I was not local I was unaware of this and feel this should be more apparent. Although I was initially really happy with my nails just 3 days later one of my fingernails has started to chip. I am not local and live in the Midlands so I am unable to get this retificied. I highly doubt my shellac will last the full 2-3 weeks which for £31 isn't really acceptable. I would say to avoid the salon for this reason.

   THE BEST… I have had my nails done by Tuân for the past 17 years. I have followed him from his previous Croydon Salon to his current Salon in Banstead. The Salon is well lit, friendly & professional. They achieve any design that you want. Highly recommended ❤️ Just a few pics of previous nails.
