I went there to get my graduation nails, all excited for my big day. I can’t complain about the nail quality kind of, however, the staff makes you feel like they are doing you a favor by doing their job. I’m scared for my life to say something. When I was getting my nails done and and saw one was wonky - and that’s where all the rudeness started, ignoring my existence, acting like I just insulted his profession, and this happened EVERY single time. If you wanna get your nails done, do as they told, don’t change your mind, don’t tell them you don’t like something otherwise they’re gonna rush through it and do them carelessly, and act completely moody with you, and you’re gonna walk out of there with your mood ruined, and bare in mind I have been going there for 8 years every times hoping they would treat me better because I’m a regular. Very disappointed, and after many many years, I will not be going back

i just wanna preface this by saying this is the first review i’m ever leaving on this account, i don’t leave reviews but i had to say something to warn people about this place. DO NOT GO HERE. if you’re local to potters bar and need your nails done i’d recommend taking an extra 5-10 minutes to walk to one of the many other salons here, id recommend them all over this place. the man doing my nails was very rude and had a horrible attitude throughout. he was so sassy at me for not relaxing my hands even though i WAS relaxed, then he’d get pissy with me for not straightening my hands or moving them in specific ways even though a second ago he wanted them relaxed. i thought i was going crazy until i overheard another lady next to me getting her nails done say “oh sorry my hands do what they want” and the nail tech laughed and said “that’s okay i’ll just move your fingers!” that’s when i realised the person doing my nails just had a supreme attitude for no reason. i’ve had my nails done multiple times before and my hands were never an issue but this time they were apparently so bad it warranted an hour worth of huffing and puffing and sighing. they also didn’t listen to what i wanted and tried to argue with me when i wanted to make minor changes to the design (that they completely butchered btw i was trying to save my nails). they’re my nails and im the one paying £50 for the service but when i want to change a colour that they didn’t cure yet it’s now a big issue? they’re also incredibly impatient and passive aggressive here. if you take longer than 30 seconds to pick a colour or charm they start to get incredibly rude. they all seem to get annoyed very easily, i asked one lady at the very beginning of the service for coffin nails (which i said i wanted when i sat down) and she misinterpreted it as square nails, she stuck one extension on and i confirmed with her that i wanted coffin and oh my goodness, with the way she reacted you would've thought i had asked her to redo my entire set just as she had finished everything. ridiculous. this nail salon is close to my house but i’d gladly walk further or get a bus to somewhere else just to avoid this place. if you’re not used to customer interaction then don’t run a nail salon. safe to say they’ve lost a customer! no wonder why the place is always empty.

Michael is very good, the ladies that do my pedicures are good. However one man in there is rude a lot of the time, constantly grips your fingers too firmly, and the results are poor and inconsistent. I won’t be returning as I’m now moving away, however if I did I would only ever ask for Michael. I have attached pictures below, I was mortified I had to ask for them to be re done (I know I changed the colour) but the first is what one other man did which appeared thick, blobby, badly shaped, incredibly unfeminine and rushed. The second were by Michael who took his time to file them properly all over, shape, pluck out edges etc. I was annoyed the first man was willing to let me pay £35 for that result. Unbelievable. Only ask for Michael for your nails !

If I could leave no stars I would! TERRIBLE, UNFRIENDLY, RUDE NAIL SALON. I just wanted to make everyone aware of an awfully distressing experience I had at LD Nails in Potters Bar. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this nail shop to anyone. They made it pretty clear to me today they do not care about their clients & only care about money. I was a loyal client for around a year then I took a break from getting my nails done for a while. But I wanted to treat myself so I went & got them done last Thursday. I had builder gel & gel on my hands then gel on my toes. I had acrylic put on 2 of my toes & had white tips so they charge more. I ended up paying around £90 altogether I realised a couple of my nails were chipped on Wednesday & called them to see if they could fix them as bearing in mind it was less then a week.. paying £90 you don’t expect nearly half of them to chip within a few days! I have been caught up in work so only managed to go today. I went there & a guy that I’d never seen before starting working on my nails. Instead of removing all of my gel he only removes some of the chipped white tip with a file then proceeds to paint a new white tip. Where it was just filed not all gel was off properly it was bleeding into the rough edge, it looked dreadful. When he asked if it was ok I said can it be more neater & straight like the rest of the of my nails that weren’t chipped. He didn’t like I asked him to re do then started speaking his language to the others & I then asked if someone else could do them as I felt extremely uncomfortable. After them speaking in language for a bit Micheal who seems to be the guy that runs it tells me no we can’t fix it properly unless you pay for it. So at this point I’m not happy at all as I paid £90 last week for my nails for them to chip in few days I then call & let them know so they say come in they can fix. They then try fix & do a poor job I say something about it & then they tell me if I want done properly I have to pay!! It’s honestly just outrageous. I told them straight I would like them rectified as I paid a lot of money for them last week & they told me to come in when I called. It’s just a known thing if you get your nails done & they chip a few days after you go back & your nail shop fixes it without having to pay. But Michael was honestly so rude to me demanding I pay for them if I want them done properly! After I told him I’d actually seen posts about LD nails before about how rude they was he proceeded to tell me to never come back & that he doesn’t care about reputation, all he cares about is getting money & making sure his boss is happy. That was exactly his words. Which I was really taken back by as it was just the most unprofessional thing I’d probably ever experienced & the fact I was going there quite a lot before & I recommended my mum, sister, family & friends before! In the end one of the woman come over & just said we will do them this time but next time you have to pay. So she started doing them properly this time removing all of the gel but I honestly just felt so uncomfortable they were all laughing to each other speaking in their language & then said in english yeah we don’t care if we lose one customer we have plenty that are happy. The end result was still terrible, they knew they wasn’t getting any money for it so did a poor job. I have attached photos one of the circled nail one they fixed today terible shaping & white tip line wonky. All paint & builder gel left all under my nails touching my skin. It was all just so not neat & messy. I can not believe I was left with nails like this & I can not believe the experience I had today. I just wanted to make anyone aware who goes there they truly do not care about there clients, all they care about is money. They are extremely unprofessional, being a recently trained nail technician all there techniques & hygiene is truly outrageous. I certainly will never ever be going back there or recommending LD nails in Potters Bar again.

Michael and Tom are amazing! Fabulous set of nails each and every time and a perfect treat for a Mum and Daughter outing. Gets busy at times because they’re high in demand and booked times may be pushed back - but it’s worth the wait! :) x

Nice people. However they tried to convince me that paint does not need to reach the bed of the nail, leaving a gap. I have been doing my nails for 20 years, utter nonsense. No gap is needed, unless you want them to grow out quicker or are not experience enough

Worst nail salon I have ever been to! Paint came off the next day! Went back to fix and they were so rude! Had to go back again within two days to get paint again! They use cheap paint and are really expensive! Don’t waste your money better go to another as there are so many in potters bar VIP nails is down the road I will be going there from now on!! Never will I ever go there again! Waste of £90!!

Last week I got acrylic nails done here, Michael was great and really professional. He spent lots of time and attention to detail on getting the shape and design exactly how I wanted. At the wedding I went to I got sooo many compliments and people asking where I went. I showed Michael a picture and he followed it exactly. I will 100% be going back again. Aimee
