AVOID THIS SALON. SERIOUS HEALTH RISK TO CUSTOMERS Do not go to Nailology on Goswell Road. There are many excellent nail salons in Angel, but this one is a danger to your health and should be avoided at all costs. I am writing this so other women are not exposed to what I experienced. I got acrylic nails done here on 22 May. Within days, one of my nails broke and I discovered a green bacterial infection underneath. This kind of infection happens when acrylic nails are applied incorrectly and air gets trapped between the natural and artificial nail. It is a result of poor workmanship. The infection is bacterial and requires antibiotics. When I returned on 6 June for removal, I was met with complete disrespect. Aimee shouted at me, blamed me for the infection, laughed when I mentioned antibiotics, and Googled nail infections in front of me instead of taking responsibility. It was humiliating and showed how little she knew about nail health and hygiene. Another technician wanted to cover the infected nail with gel, which is medically unsafe and a clear sign that they do not understand the basics of nail care. The worst part is this. The drill used on my infected nail was put straight back into a drawer without being cleaned. I did not see it used on another client, but it was stored like that, ready for the next person. This is a serious health risk. Infections can easily be passed on this way. I was charged twenty pounds for the removal of nails that gave me an infection. No apology. No responsibility. Nothing but dangerous behaviour and unprofessionalism. Ladies, do not trust this place with your hands or your health. Nailology is unsafe and should not be operating in these conditions.
I’m not really one of those girls who get their nails done every few weeks. I usually do at home gels. But my goodness! The young man who did my nails today at this Goswell road/angel store was absolute perfection! All the staff were so lovely and welcoming and the salon itself inside was absolutely beautiful and had such a relaxing atmosphere. I am so happy with my nails. These are the full acrylic set Ombre nails and they have a wide variety of options and colours to choose from. If you are local or are looking for a new nail salon I would absolutely recommend! 10/10 experience! If I could give more than 5 stars, I really would! Thank you again for my beautiful birthday nails! ❤️
