    ‘G2M Group is a socially aligned investment manager focused on delivering long-term, affordable rental housing.’ I can not express how far this statement is from the truth. From the day I moved in to what was advertised as a ‘fully furnished’ property, I had to contact my landlord to inform her I did not have a bed frame or a mattress, weirdly her response was along the lines of ‘We knew you didn’t have a mattress, we didn’t release you didn’t have a bed frame’. The mould throughout my property was disgusting, I was embarrassed to have guests over, my upstairs and downstairs neighbours felt the same, our house was riddled with damp that was only once seen to. I would like to emphasise my concern with how G2M align themselves as providers of ‘affordable’ housing. I was charged over £600 a month for a damaged, moulding, cold flat that was riddled with broken, aging, damaged appliances. I received 60% of my deposit back after my tenancy, the reasoning for the 40% deduction was due to being charged for a professional clean. The photographs that were used as evidence to suggest a professional clean was provided included a photo of one strand of hair on the floor and dust on top of a light switch, I can not fathom the audacity and greed of someone who is willing to charge £160 for this. There is absolutely no ‘socially aligned’ practices amongst G2M, please only focus on ‘investment’ that seems to be all this company cares for. At the expense of university students, vulnerable people and those reliant on rental housing, investment companies solely focus on their own pockets. Living in a property owned by G2M has been the worse rental experience ever.

    All the staff we've dealt with at G2M have been absolutely lovely. To viewing the house and receiving the key with Nick, to Shanan and Andrea who have been so helpful and quick to respond whenever we need anything. One of the big reasons why we wanted a viewing with G2M is because they had amazing reviews and we like what they stand for. They have certainly lived up to reviews and we're excited to be their tenants. Thank you so much for your help.

    My partner and I moved into our flat 6 months ago and we’ve just signed a 3 year contract, fantastic from the start, any issue we’re sorted quickly especially when the boiler broke. Been very supportive and understanding with all the COVID ongoings! When we viewed the property there was no doubt we wanted it and everything was dealt with very quickly! There’s a couple of issues appearing now the colder weather is here but I’m confident they’ll be sorted quickly. Fantastic company and would like to stay with them as long as possible!

    Lovely staff let down by sloppy work. All of the staff we dealt with at G2M were lovely and very helpful. Andrea, Sharan and Mike were nothing but accommodating and their builder, Ed, couldn't do enough to help us. However, the work which was done to the house felt rushed and unfinished. All of the interior doors had only had one coat of paint, making them look patchy. The two fireplaces had just been glossed over without the old resin being sanded off to create a smooth surface. The kitchen had paint missing below one of the cupboards and the extraction fan had orange-brown marks on it. A lot of the gloss work felt rushed as they hadn't taken the time to do the little corners. On viewing the property we were assured that any previous damp issues had been dealt with. However, on moving in day, we noticed that there was damp beginning to show through the fresh plaster and paint on one of the chimney breasts. In the spare room one of the windows was not correctly sealed as there was water between the two panes of the double glazing. Finally, on moving into the house we had agreed to have a temporary water heater installed in the upstairs bathroom until they could sort out the boiler. On moving into the house we soon discovered that this had not been tested before we arrived. The heater was still at factory setting meaning that the water got so hot it broke something, causing a leak to come through the downstairs roof. The water coming out was steaming hot. This felt very unsafe and it was lucky that none of our belongings were underneath where the water had leaked. Overall it felt as though the work had been rushed in order to get tenants in as soon as possible. However, as mentioned before the staff were wonderful and beyond helpful. We cancelled our tenancy a day after moving in. Thankfully, the company gave us all of our money back and were nothing but apologetic. This experience would not stop me from using G2M again but I would be making sure to keep an eye out and highlight any issues with the house immediately.

    I've been a tenant of G2M for over three years and recently moved home and into another G2M-owned property. The tenancy transfer was made effortless thanks to Andrea and the team. All the documents were present, easy to understand and signed-for electronically. Repair needs have been minimal considering it's an 1850s-built property. When those occasions did occur, repairs were dealt with swiftly and with longevity in mind. Lastly, it was nice to read the warm messages from the team welcoming me into my new home. Thank you G2M

    G2M became our new landlords in January of this year and what a difference they have made. We are a commercial property and had multiple outstanding issues which the previous landlord simply ignored. G2M have been incredibly responsive and have already repaired/replaced issues in a very timely manner. I have complete confidence in them going forward. Everyone I have spoken to has been professional and friendly but Andrea is worthy of particular mention as she is always very helpful and understanding, even when I phone in a panic with an emergency!
