   Bluebell Cottage with melodic sound of church bells over the road. Charming and beautifully furnished. Italian restaurant only thing open but lovely by river on sunny evening. Spa bath great bring the salts!

   Booked here for a family trip away. Very quirky cottage, plenty of space and ideal for up to six people! Just Mind your heads when you get upstairs! The doors are very low, and anything over 5 foot you will bang your head! Cottage had all amenities you'd could want, fully functioning kitchen, jacuzzi bath and large shower. 1 very large master bedroom, one double bedroom and a twin room. 2 lounges downstairs, great if you have a teen and they want thier own space! My only gripes would be the shower, and the lack of a mop. The shower isn't enclosed, and the plug doesn't drain as quick as the water comes out the shower! So the inevitable happens and the very shallow shower tray overflows and ends up drenching the bathroom floor. Secondly the church over the road, some may find it quaint, but the bells toll every 15 minutes! Right through the night, we both found it very difficult to get used to for the first couple of days! Great restaurant just up the road and a pub in the other direction. Very close to sherwood pines and go ape too! Would stay again for sure!

   Visited my wife's niece who was staying over before Christmas. I was quite shocked when we passed into the cottage it was well layed out and beautifully decorated and everything you needed for a short stay. The location problem couldn't find a spot in the area

   Don’t rent this cottage you will not get your deposit back. We have been trying to get our deposit back for 6 six weeks now. The owner does not respond to emails. Accused us of damaging the fridge and dishwasher. We had photos proving that the damage was all there before we used the cottage but still they will not give us our money. They are a disgrace of a business treating customers in this way. If you decide to rent bluebell cottage take photos of every bit of damage no matter how small so you have evidence. Also the shower is rubbish- you have to keep turning it off otherwise the water overflows from the tray onto the floor. Stayed July 2019.

   We loved our 8 night Christmas stay at Bluebell cottage. As a party of 6 we found the cottage to be quaint, characterful, well appointed, cosy and incredibly spacious. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom are up a steep, twisting staircase and as such the property wouldn’t suit those with mobility problems. For us, this just added to the charm. Our teenagers enjoyed their own space with fast wifi, the adults enjoyed spending their evenings in front of the wood burner or with a glass of wine around the generous kitchen table. With two very separate lounge areas downstairs it was also easy to take some time out with a good book. We brought our dog and found the tiled reception area downstairs to be ideal. Although the cottage has no garden there is a field just 2 minutes from the door for easy exercising. The cottage itself is in a particularly picturesque part of Old Ollerton village just across from the church, complete with ringing bells! We didn’t sample the local pubs/ restaurants but the Hop Pole Hotel just around the corner looked particularly appealing and the local Italian (also a few minutes walk away) was recommended by the locals. We found Julie to be a friendly and responsive host and access arrangements flexible. With so much to see and do in the area we’d be only too happy to return.

   Great, lovely place for a short break. The self catering Cottage is of the highest standard all round and loads to see in and around Ollerton Village itself. Will be going again without a doubt.
