I went in regarding a rash that I had. I was seen quickly and advised what medication to take. Quick and efficient service.
I tried to feed this back toTesco directly rather than in a public review but I couldn't find a place to do this. I have just come home from the Pharmacy.The lady who first spoke to me said she didn't think the Pharmacist could help me. She said the Pharmacist was in the toilet and she'd be out in a bit. Some time later a young woman shuffled through the doors and went behind the counter. I think she was the Pharmacist, she did not introduce herself or have a name badge. I've recently worked in healthcare "My name is . . " is a really important part of your interaction. She glanced at my ankle and said it didn't look infected. It was painful, swollen, red and hot. She didn't look at it other than from standing nor did she touch it. She argued that it was probably too soon for antibioics. I said that usually my whole lower leg or arm swells up which is why I'd come in sooner rather than later. In July I'd had a similiar reaction and went to a Pharmacist in Boots in Salisbury. She got me to wait until she could fit me in for a proper consultation she said Pharmacists can't just prescribe like Doctors can and need to go though a set of checks. I was with her for 20 minutes or so. The Tesco Pharmacist spent only a few minutes, mainly arguing why she didn't think I should have antibiotics but I could if I wanted to. She just seemed really uninterested.
Decided to get a flu jab. Brilliant service the pharmacist managed to book my husband and me in nearly straight away. Very considerate it didn't hurt. Checked my husband's blood pressure and advised on high side. Now monitoring. Thank you
Stood at the pharmacy counter & this woman looked at me & said, i'll be there in a minute sir. If you can't make out the gender of a person don't say anything! Had i commented on her ethnicity & choice of dress she would have been offended as i to be called a man. Perhaps the staff behind the counter should go on courses to address customers. What with in-house pharmacies closing down this kind of attitude will turn customers away.
Awful service. Asked if I could come and get a flu jab earlier than dates offered on website. Reply book on line, end. This seemed to be case of 'the computer said no' zero service or initiative. Same call to Twilight pharmacy. Went straight down within 30 minutes of calling all done. What a difference.
