I’m not the type of person who usually leaves reviews, but in this case, I feel I have no other choice. The customer service at this place is practically non-existent. When you ask for help, the response you get is “I don’t know,” and if you ask for guidance on where to find something, you’re told “I’m not from the area” and that’s the end of it. It’s unfortunate because the location itself is good, with plenty of parking and a decent product range. However, the overall attitude gives the impression that customers are on their own and if you can’t find what you’re looking for, that’s your problem. This isn’t meant as a harsh criticism, but rather a message to management. Please take a closer look at staff training and remind employees that customer service truly matters.

Seriously. Security guard sat on a pile of floor tiles as you enter store. Head buried in phone. Its 10.30 Sunday 17th August 2025. Where's the manager, why has he not been pulled up for it? Till staff working hard and he's just sitting there causing a health and safety hazard sat on a pile of floor tiles. He will be fast to sue Wickes if he slips or falls. Total disrespect for customers walking into the store. Weak management when many a business is struggling to survive. Loads of people out of work. Employ someone who respects your business, work colleagues and your customers. Shame on Wickes management!

Thanks for your response, but I'm afraid it misses the point. I fully understand the need for proof of purchase in general. But in this case, I brought back a faulty 'Wickes'-branded product that had clearly only just been used. I wasn't asking for a refund, just a simple exchange of a low value item. I wasn't trying to return some random item, it was your own product, with your name on it. Even if I wasn't someone who's spent thousands at your Staines branch over the years, I expected at least a little common sense and goodwill. Instead I felt treated like a potential scammer. The issue isn't the policy - it's the way it was enforced without any flexibility or basic customer care. That's what left a bad taste. I hope you do genuinely look into this, because it's this kind of experience that turns loyal customer away from your business.

Just had a delivery of goods 30 out of the 40 items were not delivered. Reported this and did get a phone call back straight away from Nathan (not from the Duty Manager on today) There was an apology give, but had I not called would they have rung me to say when the items were going to be delivered !!! They were incorrectly loaded (obviously can not count) and should be coming out tomorrow. No time given so another day sitting in waiting for an order and still had to pay the delivery charge not very good customer service considering we only live less than five minute drive from the store they are coming from

The till lady is asking for donations almost like begging making customers to feel uncomfortable if they don’t donate. Also very lazy staff most of the time hiding in the store

Not the biggest store, but it's quiet - even at the weekend. Reasonable amount of parking outside, which is free. You'll get most of the stuff you need but I'm (personally) not convinced by Wickes quality. There is a Toolstation / Screwfix (one or the other) in the same complex. A few minutes drive is a Homebase too.

Very much as other reviewers have pointed out. Absolutely terrible customer service here. They are so inflexible and will robustly stick to their policies, leaving you out of pocket. If you are even a day over their 30 day refund policy, they will refuse a refund and try to blame you by saying ‘we said don’t buy materials until you have a contractor’. It’s just poor and leaves a bitter taste in the customers mouth. I will never use this store or Wickes again. Read the poor reviews here. It is really that bad. Don’t waste your time or money. Avoid.

This is the closet shop. People who ever shops WICKES in Staines make sure check your bills before leave from store. Misleading price from LABEL to the system. Incorrect prices I bought two grey adhesive from Wickes in Staines and found the price on the label is stating as £9 where the system is telling to the cashier as £13. The cashier is adamant the price is correct. Therefore, I have to go and take a screen shot of the label (Tag Price on the self) on the self and prove the price is wrong. The Staffs, Cashier or Manager who came to check the price
