   I’ve been a loyal Toolstation customer for a long time, buying something almost every single day, but my recent experience at the Hanworth branch has left me completely frustrated and disappointed. I went in to collect an online order and return two items – a pipe and a valve – that weren’t suitable for my needs. What followed was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time. The person on the till, Martyn (I believe he’s the manager), was shockingly unhelpful. He refused to process the return for the pipe, claiming it had “dust” on it. When I offered to clean it and even asked for wipes, he said they didn’t have any – which seemed like a weak excuse. Fortunately, another staff member stepped in, provided a wipe, cleaned the item, and only then was I given the refund. As for the valve, Martyn again refused to refund it, saying it was not in sellable condition – even though I hadn’t even opened the packaging! He then said I had purchased it from another branch (Hounslow) and I’d have to return it there. It just felt like he was looking for excuses not to help. As a manager of a large company like Toolstation, I expected much better. Instead, Martyn came across as negative, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. This experience made me feel like Toolstation doesn’t value loyal customers. I left the store feeling frustrated, disrespected, and completely let down. If this is how Toolstation Hanworth treats their regulars, I’d seriously advise others to shop elsewhere – or at least avoid this branch

   Being only 2 minutes away from this store , i had arrived at 10 minutes to 8pm (store closing time) i was supprised to pull up to a closed store. This is not the first time this has happened

   Sent my sister in to grab some bits for a DIY unit for the wall, they were out of stock on the brackets I wanted but Martyn served her and got the best equivalent and told her what it could be used for as she had no clue. Turns out they were better than what I sent her for and they were cheaper so hats off for that. Handy to know that I can send someone who doesn’t know a thing and get service like that!

   Helpful staff here at this Toolstation. Parking is easily available out the front and its easy top get to. They offer a click and collect here which is really helpful. Good rage of products at reasonable prices. Just what you would expect from a Toolstation.
