   Spent a few quid there over the years but when my toughneck rake snapped in half they were less than helpful. Had a 25 year warranty said to return to the store. Manager was having none of it and blamed me for wear and tear damaging the rake. All good though the rake manufacturer did an exchange by post. This selco bit shit i will take my trade to seccombes down the road in future

   A very good experience – the lady at the till was helpful and friendly. When I asked for advice, she was patient and polite in her response. It was refreshing to receive such good customer service, especially as it’s something that’s sadly lacking in many places these days.

   My favourite thing about Selco stores is the delivery aspect. Heavy or large items delivered free next day or max the day after depending on what time you book. Staff are very helpful.

   I ordered some planed timber (PREMIUM CLS SOFTWOOD STUDDING 75X50mm). it came the very next day. AND it was STRAIGHT. Great job, great service. I strongly recommend Selco Southall. Also my interactions with the staff there have always been pleasant. They seem very helpful and have called me to let me know the status of any orders that I have made.

   I was amazed to see the manager (I assume she was the manager) get some action out of her staff and open up a register to serve the waiting customers. Great stuff, I wish other branch managers would be so hands-on! Then, as I was outside loading my van up, I saw the manager follow a customer out who had purchased 6 toilets to try to get him to buy the rest of the bathroom items in her store. What a great idea to help increase sales in their branch. I would have given 5 stars, but getting some items from the yard proved harder than necessary.

   This branch is the worst of selco from our experience.they do not understand the sale of goods act and unlawfully deduct money for returns. If everyone stops using this store and company they will understand they need customers to trade and cannot use bullish methods. The sale of goods act as published by the gover6 says.. A consumer can legally return goods to the seller if they are faulty, not fit for purpose, or not as described. When goods are sold to consumers, the seller must comply with various obligations under the 2015 Act. They must be as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for purpose.
