Choosing B&Q for my bathroom was a wrong decision and caused an expensive and long-dragging saga. When you buy B&Q toilet units, it does not come with a worktop. It has to be ordered separately. Nonsense like this caused delays in the installation and extra cost on plumbers. I bought B&Q toilet units and Angela in B&Q Sutton referred Josh from "Moonlight builders ltd" in Carshalton to help me with the installation. Then my plumber nightmare started. Josh is nice as a person, but as a result of his work, after all the money I spent, I am left with A NEW LEAK (that had never happened in the history of this flat) to fix. 1. Incompetence After his work to install a new toilet, my downstairs neighbor started having a leak coming down from the ceiling of their bathroom. So on top of all the money I wasted on Josh, I need to re-install the shower system he did and also fix the leak he caused. This is on top of minor problems like holes in the filling grout between tiles... 2. Mediocrity I paid him to fix a gap between the shower system and the wall, which was not solved. The shower system was installed unevenly with silver inner parts visible. His response was basically a smaller gap is better than a big one so "we are not back in square 1". He has low standards for his own work. If a problem cannot be fixed without more investments (e.g. tearing down the whole wall & tiles), it should be communicated. Instead he delivered an unevenly installed shower system and called that a job done. 3. Irresponsibility The first installation of my bathroom units was in July, when we found out the gap in shower system. After that he went radio silence for A MONTH, leaving me hanging with a unfinished bathroom. Also there was a no show at 9am on a Saturday and I neded up spending the whole day being stuck at home. Absolutely the worst nightmare any new home owner can have!

I recently visited the store and was very impressed! The store carries an extensive selection of products and materials, from tools and hardware to paint and lumber. The store staff were helpful and knowledgeable, and they had great suggestions for projects. I was able to find everything I needed in one place, and the prices were very reasonable. The store was well-organized and easy to navigate.

Not bad, basic stuff available, The issue is that the place is massive and you have to walk long distance from plumbing to taps shelves to complete your purchase. Why not keep all the plumbing stuff in one place? Probably to force on you walking exercise and to waste your time

Good and bad. Phoned up in the morning to ask if their timber cutting service was available (Sunday) told it was and would be open all day. Turned up at the store to find it closed. However this was due to short staff and lunch breaks so could forgive this. When staff member finally arrived after a 40 min wait tge cutting service was quick. Efficient and above all accurate. Would certainly use them again as I lack the means to manhandle and accurately cut 2.4m x 1.2m MDF.

You can always rely on B&Q for all your DIY, gardening and tools products. Sutton has a well stocked store. Recommended.

Kitchen experience with Adam Thrower - flawless. I have come to B&Q to completely re-do a kitchen in my first flat, on a tiny budget. After many interviews to various competitors (who were either rude, unnecessarily expensive or primadonas) I instantly liked Adam, who works at the Sutton branch. Adam listened carefully to what I wanted to achieve, was incredibly helpful, honest and helped me value engineer my project exactly how I wanted it to be. Adam was always an email or a call away - I saw him 3 times in total throughout this process. Kitchen was ordered in June and arrived promptly in mid-August. I could not be happier with the end result - we made it look much, much more expensive than what the budget was. B&Q dealt with two small hiccups during the installation process very promptly (but it was not installed by B&Q). I have no negative things to say. If you need an affordable change - I truly recommend. Adam truly made this process so simple and easy - I can't thank him enough. Sutton B&Q - take note, Adam is a true asset to your store!

A large two storey DIY and hardware store with good parking. I was pleased by how tidy and well stocked the store was.

The B&Q at Sutton is nice and big. Expect to find lots of DIY stuff. The staff there are nice and friendly. There is a bus stop round the corner but ideally I would get a lift or drive the car because if you buy something it is probably easier to bring it in the car.
