   I bought an item from Toolstation and wanted to return it within the 30-day return period. I called customer service, and they clearly advised me that I could return the product to any Toolstation store, so I went to this branch. When I arrived, the person at the counter immediately said they couldn’t refund the item without checking anything. When I asked why, he told me to go back to the store where I purchased it. I opened my emails and showed them the return policy and the confirmation from customer service. Unfortunately, I couldn’t call customer service again because it was Sunday. The staff member then called the manager. The manager came out without a Toolstation uniform or name badge, wearing a hoodie, looking like a random person. He immediately said he wouldn’t process the refund and showed no interest in helping. At the very least, he could have checked the policy under his login, but he refused. I showed the invoice and all relevant details, but instead of helping, he became angry and very argumentative. His attitude was extremely unprofessional. Eventually, he shouted at me saying, “We are DONE. Get out of my store.” I felt genuinely scared at that point. Then another person (also without a uniform or name badge) came out from inside the store and telling me to get out and saying, “If you need a refund, call customer service. Do not come here.” I have evidence of this incident. Is this really Toolstation’s customer service standard? Does the Croydon Toolstation hire random peopl as a staff who are unaware of head office policies? Even now, I still can’t understand why I was treated so badly and shouted at for simply following Toolstation’s own return policy. Very disappointing and upsetting experience.

   Few parking spots and close to very busy road and junction so during busy times not ideal place to visit, but they seem to have more items in stock than some of their other branches.

   Broken item. Advised to come into nearest store for advice. Turns out Toolstation has a 45 days return policy, it broke 43 days in, it's day 47. Only find this out in store. "Should have come in earlier" is the worst thing to say to someone disabled in this context. Yikes. There was a repair service mentioned. Can you repair it? "No." Do you know of an alternative to replace? "No." What about recycling? "No." Okay, I have a year on faulty items with statutory rights, right? Can you advise who to contact please? "No." Manufacturer maybe? "Yeah, you can find their details on our website." The same website with webchat who advised to bring it all the way to a store for advice, on day 45, and told me nothing about the policy? "Sorry about that." oh, and it's the wrong phone number on the site, too. I got nothing. It gets two stars for being near bus stops. Just... just go elsewhere. Trust me. Go elsewhere.

   By far the slowest toolstation that I've ever visited. Been here a dozen times and always taken way to long to get anything from here. The store isn't even busy. Its just slow service. I try to avoid this branch as much as possible. Especially if I'm in a rush.

   Brilliant Service I have been using Toolstation for some time. While all the branches I have used have great customer service, in my opinion this one is the best. Unlike their nearest competitor (SF), the orders are processed very quickly and the staff are friendly. During this pandemic, the collating and preparing your order has been really fast. The longest I have had to wait in the queue between arriving, collecting my goods and leaving the branch was a whole 3 minutes! If time is money, it is much cheaper to shop here. Keep up the good work!
