No wonder this store is closing down. Customer service person rude and aggressive when asking about an item that was shown as one value but turns out to be incorrect and got shirty when I said well I’m not going to know if it’s labelled incorrect you. Asked for name and store manager overheard and without looking at me told me his name and asked if I wanted anybody else’s name in the store! I hadn’t caused a scene or been anything but civil to be met by these two incompetent, rude individuals who couldn’t care less about the customer! Horrible experience and would avoid in store purchases if this is the customer service level expectations!

I bought a Dragon Tree with four stems online for Β£60. When I went to pick it up, only two of the four stems were left. Both were infested with parasites, and one of them was wilting. I wish I could add images hereβ€”if you want to see them, go on Google review and check homebase in Harringay, London The seller handed me the plant and asked if I wanted a bag. Are you serious? I can't believe I spent money to get to the store and go back home, just for this joke.

This place is could be so much better but few things let it down. Firstly, interaction with staff can be hit or miss. Staff are either happy to help or hateful that you're asking for it! The shop floor barely has any one available to help you anyway and you literally will have to search for someone if you need any help. Stock levels are sketchy and there are areas where the shelves are just empty?! It's a shame because if all of the above doesn't put you off there are some quality items to be found here and if you come on the right day, you may even find a great bargain or two.

Very poor service these days. I have been trying to get paint from the Dulux paint mixing service - it was unavailable on Saturday despite being advertised as a service, with a very rude and officious manager who answered my enquiry. When there is an authorized paint mixer, I find that the range I expected is not available, so I came away without the product I wanted. Nobody responds to the phone when you call, generally lackadaisical and depressed atmosphere, I guess it is not a good working environment for the staff either, as they seem unhappy.

Awful customer service is the least we can say. We ordered our new kitchen from Homebase back in January 2021. We finally received this in May 2021 with more than 1 month delay from what was originally promised but that was the least of the issues…This was a quite expensive German kitchen from their high-end options however when it finally arrived it was left in the middle of the street even though it was supposed to be delivered in our kitchen area. Thankfully our builders who happened to be around helped us take all these huge units inside. Unfortunately after we finally had our kitchen installed we realised there were many mistakes and things missing from the original design eg. Broom cabinet broken down to three parts/doors instead of one long cabinet, normal cabinets instead of pull-out cabinets etc. Homebase despite designing the kitchen, didn’t take ownership of any of these issues and mistakes and to top this up we are still waiting for them to provide us with a valid receipt for our kitchen appliances which is necessary to claim warranty coverage if ever required! This means that Bosch cannot cover our appliances as we still don’t have a valid purchase receipt. I still find hard to believe that a company such as Homebase cannot deal effectively with such issues and do the minimum at this point which would be to provide us with valid receipts for such an expensive purchase. To conclude for anyone looking to buy a kitchen or anything expensive really I would suggest avoiding Homebase at all costs.

Absolutely terribly managed. The shelves are in chaos so I decided to click and collect. It was meant to be ready in an hour, but I went in the next day just to be sure. Half of the items I ordered were unavailable and I wasn't offered any alternatives, but refund. The manager made me wait and let the whole queue in front of me and then it turned out they could offer alternative products for replacement. We ended up going through those damn chaotic shelves (which I was trying to avoid in the first place) and FINDING! a lot of items I was told were unavailable. This took over an hour! One of the absolute WORST shopping experiences in my life.

Rude unhelpful staff who are patronising and verbally abusive when you ask for help. The woman in particular was the worst. Told me she didnt know where the items I wanted were despite not knowing what I was looking for. Refused to give her name so I could complain about her. Be careful shoppers. She seems eager for a physical fight.

I like coming to this store but do not always make a purchase because I think many items are not competitively priced. They offer an array of products from DIY goods, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, garden plants and accessories and more. Set up over two floors and easy to navigate through. Great place to get ideas.

The prices are reasonable, and they have a decent amount of stock and variety. However, there's is always a looong wait at the checkout. Can't they get in more *checkout staff, or have some self-checkout tills? *To be blunt, most of the staff aren't qualified for anything more than checkout. Don't waste your time asking questions about products or even where you can find different items. I'm not having a go at the actual people, as obviously they've never been trained to do any more. It's more a testimony to the incompetence or sheer apathy of the higher ups.
