   Had the great fortune to go to Wakefields in the hope of finding a pair of drop pull handles from the 20s- 30s , of course no such luck , but with help from proprietor a pair was found better than the originals . We should treasure shops like these and use them more. Thank you Stephen

   It's fantastic having this business just down the road - went in today looking for some thread escutcheons for 1960s Ladderax furniture. Excellent customer service; really knowledgable, helpful and provided me with great advice which was highly appreciated. Has every type of screw and hook you can think of, stocks other DIY products and fair pricing. Will definitely be back to look at their new selection of door handles / door furniture.

   This shop is a Gem - local people should just pop in and take a look. Been undertaking a refurb on my Public House recently and have managed to source so much stuff that the local B and Q store just does not have. Screws, bolts, washers, brass chains, door bolts, coat hooks, the list is just endless. If undertaking DIY projects at home this is the place you should visit. Super helpful and friendly staff too. Cannot recommend them enough. Please shop local and use them if you are in Waltham Forest or beyond, worth the visit.

   A compendium of ironmongery: thousands of items ranging from screws and hinges to doorknobs and tools. Nothing much has changed about this shop's old-fashioned layout and enormous variety of stock since World War 2 and that's a good thing — it's still run with knowledgeable dedication by members of the same family that founded it in 1944. A great community asset — wonderful that it's still here.

   I visited this shop for the first time today. They were really helpful and able to give expert advice on how to fix a loose door handle. I’d have spent a fortune getting loads of unnecessary stuff and been none the wiser about the actual problem (which turned out to be much simpler than we thought) if I’d gone to one of the big chains online. This will be our go-to hardware place from now on! A great local business.
