   Matt is such an expert in Osmo paint and was incredibly helpful. Wish I came to this shop earlier, could have saved myself a lot of time trying to find the right wood tint colour. I would never have known how to apply it correctly without his very detailed explanations, even though I read the instructions by Osmo. Highly recommend for any paint job.

   I was really looking forward to taking my client in here to make an order for some paint and wallpaper. The lady that runs it is was unbelievably rude, she did not once offer to help us though the young girl that was helping us didn’t seem to have any knowledge about paints whatsoever and she was close enough to hear that the girl was unable to help. I felt uncomfortable and glared at the entire time we were there - not so much as a smile. Honestly it felt like a school bully was trying to intimidate us. She then sneered at me when I asked if they could help us calculate the amount of wallpaper “don’t you know how to do it?”. She explained that they don’t help calculate because they may make a mistake, fair enough but you don’t need to make me feel bad about having number dyslexia. I actually left in tears, I can’t imagine why they were trying to discourage my client and I from making an order but they succeeded.

   I'm no professional painter/decorator but I like using the best materials and advice I can when doing home improvements and that's exactly what you'll find here. I generally have a good idea of exactly what I want beforehand but have been recommended something different which I'm happy to go with. Today I wanted a specific Dulux shade which required colour tinting/mixing as well as a high quality white gloss for interior wood. Over 16,000 colours can be mixed here. The shop is small but but packed to the rafters - you can generally pick up everything you need for your project, (Professional or otherwise) and if they haven't got it, they'll order it for collection in a day or two.

   G C Johnson is a fantastic resource and provides a professional and unique service . We received endless help and advice recently during a kitchen renovation and extension. Tina in particular used her designer background to help me choose colours ( paint) , flooring and accessories . I wouldn’t have the kitchen I have today without her support and guidance .

   GC Johnson supplied and mixed all of the paint for our refurb and we're very happy with the results. We went with a combination of colour-matched Tikkurila for most of the colours then original Farrow and Ball for the pinks as they seemed to come out less closely matched when we did testers. Johnsons also just delivered some extra tins we needed in ridiculously rapid time, a matter of hours after I ordered. Thanks guys!
