Lovely local shop. The moment you walk in, it is like you're transported in time, back to when life was a bit simpler. The staff has always been helpful and courteous. Sometimes I go in just to have a look at the displays and have a little chat. A real gem.

It's been here for years and years...and one can see why. They have pretty much everything one could want in DIY and household. I am forever amazed by the wide range of products held over a floor space that's not that big!! Hopefully they'll be here for a good few years yet!
Wonderful atmosphere, and Helen was very helpful. She helped me identify the right screws for my project and was very patient with my questions.
I was visiting the area and had a list of 3 items. Well, I've not had so much fun shopping as in the 30 minutes I was there! The staff were very helpful and guided me to everything I needed and talked through some of the products so I could get the right one (ie drain cleaner). I think I looked at everything and bought about 15 items, stuff that I had previously googled or shopped for, and couldn't find easily (as either not available or overwhelming choice). Supporting a local business was also key for me and as I said, it was such fun. I will be back again when I'm in the area in December. And I've told others in Windsor about the shop.
I have lived in Ascot for 34 years and can highly recommend Chapmans on Sunninghill high street. You can generally manage to get most household goods from here and they're very reasonably priced.They've been on the high for very many years. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I moved to the area recently and I must say it's so refreshing to fund a shop like this. For each DIY project I undertake they always seem to have the necessary tools or parts. They are also reasonably priced and, unlike some of the bigger chains of DIY stores, the staff are very knowledgeable.
