   Had my lawn mower serviced by Ernest Doe, They steam cleaned the mower, replaced the spark plug, put in new oil, sharpened and balanced the blade, check wheels, cables, etc. Excellent customer service and completed within four days, completion was targeted for 7-10 days.

   David Watson and the team at Ernest Doe Power were incredibly helpful in organising a warranty claim for a faulty lawnmower I bought from Amazon. Despite me not being a customer of theirs they took the time to deal with the manufacturer and resolved my problem in just a couple of days. I'm hugely grateful for their help and support. A great business who care about their customers, and even other people's!

   In complete contrast to a previous review I received the most excellent support from Ernest Doe staff yesterday. As well as a comprehensive re-programming of an Automower done on the spot I was also given a masterclass in how to operate and care for the product, all this on an item originally purchased elsewhere. Exemplary, skilled help.

   Having been told that Ernest Doe was the best place to get help and advice regarding a chainsaw I was given, I headed on down from Kingston. It was a total waste of my time. A surly woman at the counter was reluctant to offer help but told me to speak with the fellow in the workshop, around the back of the building. I only got as far as a locked gate where I spoke with someone over an intercom. He said I wasn't allowed back there and referred me back to the shop counter. Back in the shop the surly woman told me that my saw probably wouldn't work because any petrol and lubricant in the saw had gone off. Other than that she seemed disinterested. The best advice she could offer me was to go to Screwfix.

   Had a problem with a Honda lawnmower which I'd bought a few months earlier (surging when warm). Initially was told may or may not be warranty, but I sent an email explaining the issue and had a call back within 30 mins from Paul. Dropped the mower off on a Tuesday - was told by another member of staff it "may be a few weeks", but received a call the next day from Paul to say all was fixed and mower was ready to pick up (it was a faulty gasket fitted by the factory). Shame about poor Honda quality control, but thumbs up to Ernest Doe for solving the problem quickly.

   My 3 experiences with Ernest Doe in Esher have all been good ones. On all 3 occasions various members of staff went out of their way to help me. So far I’ve purchased a Honda lawn mower and a Stihl chainsaw from the store. I most recently dealt with the service manager who assisted me after I damaged my brand new chain saw. He was more than happy to show me where I went wrong and then carried out the repair free of charge. He honestly couldn’t have done enough - excellent brand representation for Stihl and the likes. Thanks for everything guys and no doubt will see you soon. Update: Purchased a Stihl leaf blower today - Same great service and as usual they had a brand new machine which was fuelled and ready for action. Thanks guys!
