   Appaling customer service, after trying to negotiate with them on compensation for luggage damage and delays they made an offer and have now refused to talk to me. I am forced to go to ABTA and failing this it will be the small claims court. I will never use them again.

   GRJ send you on holidays where the itinerary changes at the last minute to the one you signed up for. They don’t do risk assessments on excursions, change hotels from the ones you’ve paid and looked forward to, they happily take your money from you for first class train travel yet give you second class with no refund. Oh and expect coach journeys….lots of long coach journeys….with no air conditioning

   I booked the Simply Lake Garda trip with GRJ about six wks ago now and have had to call them on a few occasions since with queries I had. On two of those occasions I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Daniel whose Customer Service was excellent. Daniel was warm, very friendly, answered all of my questions & reassured any concerns I had. He is a credit to Great Rail Journeys, once again "Thank you Daniel"

   Still not had my Holiday 2020 which was cancelled in June last year refunded, how can you trust a company that keeps your money for 10months after cancellation. No Happy

   Just come back from Simply Lake Garda tour with GRJ. Wonderful trip, hotel excellent, lovely home made food. Just the right balance of free time and excursions, which were all wonderful, and included in the holiday price. Tour manager was excellent. Will definitely be booking again. For anyone who is afraid of flying, this is the way to see the world! I also used the 'Baggageman' service to take my main case to the main hotel which is a godsend for a lone female traveller with dodgy hands. I only had a handbag and a small overnight bag for the first night to carry.
