   I recently completed a four-day swimming course at Rochdale Leisure Centre and I’m really impressed. Instructor Debbie was amazing — kind, patient, and very clear with her teaching. The second instructor was also brilliant (apologies for forgetting her name). Both of them helped me improve my confidence in the water. Thank you for such a positive experience!

   I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an interaction I had with a team member named Sofie. Her attitude was disgraceful, and the way she spoke to me as a paying member was completely disrespectful. This experience has left me feeling extremely dissatisfied, and I am now considering cancelling my membership as a result. I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism, and this interaction fell far short of that standard. I hope this matter is addressed appropriately..

   First of all, I want to say that I am very disappointed with your center. The showers are extremely dirty and not cleaned regularly. I even told the reception that the women’s showers were dirty and unusable, but nothing was done about it. Because of this, I couldn’t even shower after training. Also, regarding the swimming pool timetable, you have separate times for women, men, and families. However, when it is supposed to be women’s time, men also come in, which makes me feel very uncomfortable. I want to swim with only women, but your staff does not enforce this rule. Honestly, the service is very poor, and I think you really need to review your policies and improve the cleanliness and management.

   Fab leisure centre. Joined a few months back at the start of my pregnancy as wanted to keep fit still. The staff are great especially the young lad on reception, always aware of what’s going on even when he’s with a customer, always opened the access door for me as I was getting a bigger and bigger bump. Lifeguards were always keeping an eye on me when in pool and addressed any issues which made me feel safe and protected of my baby bump. (Baby is now here & can’t wait to be back) My older son also has a kids membership and likes to use the gym. No issue ringing on day and getting him booked in. Not done any classes yet but will definitely be looking into this soon.

   Every single time I have taken the kids swimming here there are random men with no children in the family changing area. Showering and using the family changing rooms. I wish this was monitored. There aren’t locks on most of the doors for these changing rooms and I am constantly scared of who is lurking around that area. I have visited a lot over the past year or so and I just never feel safe.

   Well equipped gym and great choice of classes. The showers are cold. When I complained about it, I was told it won't be resolved any time soon. Cost of having all 8 boilers on instead of just two was cited.

   Recommend the Sauna, the gym could use some more machines for weight lifting as it's usually busy and you have to wait to use a machine. The showers are cold aswell in the men's changing room and the place needs some minor improvements

   Never knew a place like this is hidden in Rochdale. The leisure center is really nice.Swimming classes and gym with some other recreational facilities open to both adults and kids alike . There is free car park to save the hassle of where to park and the building is an ultra modern one with latest facilities suitable for the activities. I can guarantee this will not be my last time going there God willing.
